  • Sleepdroid's Motion Backgrounds for multiMAN ver 2.05.06+

The team over at Tortuga-Cove have got together to start releasing Motion Background for the popular multiMAN tool, developed by deank. With the release of the Motion Background support in multiMAN 2.05.04, deank had released two different waves, one in black, and the other in blue. Now, thanks to Sleepdroid, we now have several different options to choose from.

Nice i downloaded the planets wave, but the sad part is that when the audio ends and stars over it leaves that pause, it would be nice to be a perfect loop ( i think that is the word).

Isn't anyone tired of multiman updates and addons every couple of days? I don't mean to disrespect. But there isn't much use to it given we are not able to play all the games released recently and those that are forthcoming. I'm not going to say what kind of news we really need, we all know that.
      Peace.

Yes, very. I couldn't agree with you more. Whilst I can't praise DeanK enough for his enthusiasm for the great tool Multiman has become, it is only a matter of time before it becomes completely pointless if we can't play the new titles. If he could put all his effort into a 3.60+ "eboot fix" instead of improving multiman I'm sure most people wouldn't mind waiting another 3 months for a multiman update.

You can't play 20 games, but you can play another 400 of them, so multiMAN is not really a 'pointless' app and it is not all-about-the-games-app. About these keys... multiMAN would work just fine on 3.60CFW and 3.70CFW.

Deank isn't the "keymaster". He does multiman as a hobby (that obviously he loves as do many others) he is pretty well known because of this even if he had the keys it would be a very bad idea for HIM to release them, plus he got rid of LV2 and BDEMU built in because of such legal things.

Patience, NORMALLY you wouldnt be able to do any of this (backing up etc) ive played video games for 26 years so back when atari, nes, commodore 64, intellivision etc was out you couldnt backup games at all (much less be able to complain about it via internet). Now you can run these old consoles on the ps3 and backup ps3 games, so quit whining and let him do what he does develop multiman.

I ain't whining, its just an observation. Deank is free to do whatever he wants indeed. I for one find these constant updates pointless considering you are not able to play games that require FW3.60+. I have owned a PS3 nearly since launch date, and have played all the games that were in my interest since then. Emulators? just a minor distraction. So I find it quite absurd when I see there are updates every few days for an application that loses its purpose every day a new FW3.60+ game is released.
What I am trying to point out is, instead of making minor updates every few days, release them all together once every month or so.

You can always just install the 3.70 OFW and stop complaining about some one else's hard work, that's just my observation.

If that is the case there is no observed reason for you not to update to a firmware which supports the new games.

Furthermore if you don't want something dont get it, dont get the update if you think it's pointless. Do you download stuff you dont want and buy stuff at stores you dont want?

Thank you for the updates Dean, I'd rather see stuff being worked on rather than nothing at all. At least in the meantime you have time to perfect additional functionality into multiman. This is the kind of enthusiasm we need Kudos!

PS - also what the 1st poster said about the loop

Dean, are your working on a way to auto-start these backgrounds instead of having to manually start them every time?

      Just wondering.

      BTW, I love your app.

I'm a fan of the frequent releases. Gives me something interesting to read about when I'm taking a break at work. I usually only update once for every three releases though.

Also, I prefer the older music. It was more subtle. Anybody know where I can get it and how I would update Multiman to use it?

I think any contribution to the scene, however small it may be, is a step in the right direction, I mean, I get your point, but if you're "tired" of updates and add-ons, then maybe jailbreaking is NOT for you, but I bet you too are using Deank's Multiman, yet your way of saying "by the way, thanks Deank for making my PS3 experience so much more enjoyable for FREE" is in the way of an unappreciative comment, with a "no disrespect" tossed in there for good measure...

I am super glad that DeanK is still updating! I am new to the PS3 scene and I am having a great time with all these updates, etc! Thanks DeanK (Demi-God) for all the updates!

Get a second ps3 and shut the f**k up. Love the work deank. For anyone asking how to make a wave.divx file. You just need an avi. file then change the extension to divx. Can easily be done with winrar and a avi file. I have a bleach fighting theme. I'll upload it if anybody wants to check it out.

Yes, pardon me but resolution requirement and something like that. Do you have an instruction how to make wave.divx ? I would love to try it on my own. Thanks

      You need these below
avi. file (must be named wave)
      winrar
a converting program if your file is not a avi. file already

Get an media file or preferably a avi file edit the file to the part you want to loop. You can do 1920x1080 for best results. I just downloaded something from youtube and converted the flv. file to avi. and audio to mpeg4. Right click avi. file and add wave.avi file to rar. Then change the end extension to divx. and extract rar. file.

Do you need a converting program?
