We posted previously that author of the Showtime - Home Theater System, Andres Öman had officially updated the media player. Well, Redsquirrel87, a PS3 hombrew developer, has released a new version to his unofficial build, bringing it to version 3.1.213. Showtime is also compatible with multiMAN, and can be used as an alternative media player alongside with the famous backup manager.

Here is the changelog:

Add support for floating point audio in audio pipeline.
libspotify v9
Implement our own pool allocator
Improve read-ahead cache a bit
linux: Remove d-bus interface. It's buggy and crashes

Let it be known, that the last command may make it crash due to some various bugs that make it glitch.

I don't think I'll bother asking if 5.1 FLAC gets decoded to 5.1 PCM properly this time if my comment will be deleted like the last time I asked...simply because I'd asked in a previous release thread that nobody had posted in for a week.

LOL, you comment did not get deleted, that whole article got deleted, and reproduced with more information. My bad about that, but our member Jay-Jay pointed out to me that the article you had commented on actually had the wrong release anyways.
