Developer Red Squirrel has announced today via twitter that he has released the latest unofficial build of Showtime - Home Theater System, v3.1.22. The most recent changes include the ability to configure the subtitle style, as well as some improvements to the playqueue. You can find more in-depth changelog below. Also, remember due to the frequency of these releases, they will only be available in the "version that is installed into the "Video" menu with old ICON0.PNG."
"Unofficial" simply means that this versions have been compiled from sources taken from the official GIT, so, in other words, they are still under development. For this reason, they are not fully tested and/or 100% optimized for the PS3 (remember, Showtime is a multiplatform project and the author himself has admitted that his work is based on the Linux version and only later he adapts it for other versions) and so they may cause crashes or freezes in your console.
Try them only at your own risk.
- I changed nothing in the application's source code! So all credits go to the original authors: http://www.lonelycoder.com/showtime
- Due to the frequency of these builds releases, I decided to post them only in a way: the version that is installed into the "Video" menu with old ICON0.PNG
