Showtime 3.6.4 - Official Stable Build Released - More Languages Added!

UPDATE 2: Version 3.6.4 has been added. UPDATE: Version 3.6 has been taken down, and replaced with version 3.6.1. It has been sometime since the last "Stable" version of Andreas Öman's Showtime Mediacenter 3.4 was released. Well, today marks the release of the latest "Stable" build, 3.6. Since the release of Showtime 3.5.212, the application is now more stable than ever, and even supports files better than the previous releases.

In other words, update to the latest build today and start enjoying all Showtime has to offer; including facanferff's latest plugins, Youtube 1.4 and Navi-X. Also, here is a list of all the bugs that have been fixed, and features added.

Thanks to facanferff for giving me the heads up on today's release, yesterday

tthousand's tthoughts- This is truely the best Showtime availabe, and as I stated in the introduction paragraph; files that would not play correctly previously now play with no problems at all. It is great to see this wonderful application continue to improve, and better meet the needs of it's users. Thanks to Andreas Öman for this amazing mediacenter!

This s great. Now, if only 10bit reproduction would be added, it would be the best player

10 bit h264 decoding is not supported by the SPU accelerated h264 decoder provided by Sony (which Showtime uses).
To write such a thing myself would probably take me almost a year (with the little spare time I have) so I'm afraid we will never see that for the PS3 unless someone with a lot of time and experience in h264 takes on it.

2 things,

1. I thought there was an auto updater put into Showtime? Tis why redsquirrel isn't doing more to it isn't it.

2. Thanks for adding M4V support. Was a nice surprise to see that codec finally playing.

Is there any way to remap the keys? Remap in settings doesnt look like it works unless Im doing something wrong.

I wish when I pressed X it would pause, when I press it again it plays. Forward fastforward, back rewind etc. It only makes sense.

Such a pain to hit Triangle to access that menu. Thats the only thing I hate about Showtime.

The 03.05.044 is a fork of the Showtime, compiled by deank. It is based on the official release from andoma, but with some tweaks to integrate it better with multiMAN.

If you want to try Showtime 3.6.1, download the standalone package, install it and launch it from the XMB (it is found under the Video column) or wait until deank release the updated showtime.self.

Does this not work with rebug? I installed 3.6, 3.6.1, and 3.6.4 but it's not showing up in my XMB.

Yeah, I understand the decoding is made by the graphics chip, so a SW solution would be needed
As for the time, I didn't know it would take to much time (thought that making some kind of port of ffdshow's decoder wouldn't be hard, but I have never programmed on the PS3 so It was just an assumption)

plugin:repo:navi-x plugin id navi-x does not exist, using latest showtime and navi-x. Just get it work once but after furter try it wont work, what i should to do....?

still no sound when playing DVD ISO's, is that normal for now?, though showtime recognizes the folder (inside is the Audio and Video TS folders) anyways with a disc icon, thanks for this great program btw, it's still the best when playing mkv's and now with mp4, i greatly appreciate the ongoing development
