This CFW was tested on most PS3 Models by different testers and no problems were encountered.
But as any CFW release you must install it with caution and by following proper instructions, No one will be held responsible for any damage caused.

    Rogero CEX-4.30 v1.00 Details
    • Compatibility problem with some PS3 models is now fully fixed.
    • XMB Icons problem from in-game PS button is now fixed. (Using the Patch included in the package: "PS3~dev_blind.zip")
    • PSN/SEN access is available as long as the current "passphrase" still the same.
    • Loading games from App_home Icon is now fixed.
    • It was tested by hundreds of testers on all PS3 models (FAT & Slim) and no problems were encountered.
    • It can run games signed with Keys up to version 4.30 without any Eboot/Sprx patching needed
    • Games can be loaded from Disc Icon (with Original game in BD) and from app_home (Disc-less, but not all games).
    • Current 3.55 homebrew applications can't be loaded on this CFW, applications must be re-signed properly for FW4.21/4.30

    ATTENTION:

1- This CFW doesn't have LV1 checks disabled and can't be installed on Downgraded PS3 consoles unless you have Dehashed/Reset Syscon Properly (if you're not sure about your PS3, Dehash it anyway to avoid any risk) Link ----> Dehashing Tutorial

2- Always make a NOR/Nand dump using multiMAN or memdump before installing any CFW to have a recovery backup in case of any bricks.
Having a valid NOR/Nand dump is an essential step before upgrading, because you will always have a way to recover (using hardware flashers) when you have a valid dump.
** A Hardware Flasher alone without a valid dump may not fix your bricked PS3 **

3- The QA flag must be always Enabled on your PS3 for safer upgrading/downgrading operations. Link ----> toggle_qa.pkg

4- Always use the Recovery Menu while installing this CFW to avoid possible bricks (XMB update works, but Recovery Menu is safer).

6- Please Check the MD5 of the downloaded PUP file before installing any CFW to avoid possible bricks.

7- DO NOT HAVE DISC IN PS3 WHEN UPDATING FIRMWARES..As the PS3 will take the UPDATE from the DISC First.

8- You need to already be on 3.55 to install this. Installing from any firmware other than 3.55 will simply not work

Does anyone have a valid link to a 3.x version of Rogero? I am attempting to make sure my PS3 slim which was recently purchased was not downgraded, so I am following the tut for Dehashing, but everywhere I looked on google for the Rogero 3.x version has been taken down. All links point to mediafire so if anyone knows of any other links I would be glad to try them. I don't want to upgrade to 4.30 and brick my newly acquired PS3 due to negligence.

NM found one in the Tortuga cove downgrading Rogero instructions.

Anyone else having the issue of sorting not saving. I like to have my Games list sorted by Format but when I either exit a game or start up the PS3, it reverts back default. Quite annoying.

For people complaining about updating to CFW 4.30. In OFW 4.21 the Blu-Ray security certificate was renewed so newer Blu-Ray will not play on 3.55. Also you never have to patch games to run on 3.55.

I am glad I updated so I can now play Borderlands 2 with my Pre-Order DLC which can't be activated on CFW 3.55. Also most PSN cannot be properly activated on 3.55 if it was bought after Nov 2011 when they changed the allowed activations from 5 to 2.

I have a 60GB Fat PS3 on 4.30 but I want to save it as much as possible as it can play PS2 games.

I personally don't care too much about PSN but I am happy that I can download everything I purchased. I have invested a few hundred dollars in PSN content.

This is still not confirmed, and not likely to happen due to the new security scheme in (mtldr v2 and lv0.2) , so don't hold your breath on this.

I just tested this patch on a 3K PS3 and it didn't work, it bricked... just as I expected.

I would love to help one who truly understands, the following happened: I made a downgrade process reaping the NAND usual but I forgot to check the specific program to know if she was corrupt, to my unpleasant surprise when finalizing the writing on ps3 gave the brick, I check the NAND extracted was corrupt and accused the program error verification, now what? I can bring back to life this PS3 SLIM? how do I recover the NAND device that? pq the copy I have and always gives the same drawing again corrupted ... already tried putting the NAND device from another of the same model but without success tbm, some help from those who have baked something?

Has anyone tried this 4.3 v1.03 with a PS VITA?

I am wondering if content manager works, and if remote play works?

It says in the Rebug .nfo file that Vita Remote play works and I am trying to figure out if I want to go Rebug or Rogero. Content manager is not a huge deal as I use Open CMA on my PC, but occassionally I will buy something on PSN on the PS3 and transfer to the VITA. I have a OFW 3K series Slim that I am going to get rid of now if I don't have to have it for PSN and vita functionality.

Anyone who has tried anything with these new Firms and the vita please report?

You'll be ok. I put my hdd in a desktop. It destroyed all the data. --Almost shit my pants- I put it back in the ps3 installed the 4.25-3.55 downgrader. Then 3.55. Then 4.30. Reformatted back to cfw. Enough is written to the flash so that you don't lose your cfw.

what happens if you upgrade to 4.30CFW and at some point you hdd dies. Does that mean your PS3 is as good as bricked? if so this is incredibly risky as hard drives die all the time.

You can run rebug 4.2.1 as they have cinavia disabled and no one seems to be complaining, I am sure Rogero will figure out what was wrong with his implementation and disable it again in future build or how about a on/off switch so user can just disable/enable it as we see fit.

      Hey Rogero.......

Any way you could add the fake game save owner feature to your next Firmware?

This is one the bug adventages it would seem Rebug has over you for those us that don't care about all the fancy other OS/DEX features this is one really nice difference.....would it be possible in Rogero 4.3 v1.04?
