Rogero a PlayStation 3 Custom Firmware Developers has released V2 of his 4.30 CFW along with a 4.21 CFW version. The 4.30 CFW has been built from scratch using official 4.30 firmware files (CEX files). All the issues like XMB icon sorting and Demo Mode from v1.04 are now all in the past with v2.00. LV1/LV2 patches were added for many additional features such as Direct Disc Access you can view all additional features below in the changelog. For additional information please checkout the Official Rogero CFW V2 thread @ tortuga-cove. NOTE: You must have multiMAN v04.12.00 Prior to installing this CFW.-- LINK

You must have multiMAN version 04.12.00 installed on the PS3 before updating to CFW4.30 v2.00 or you won't be able to install Package files until you downgrade again to version 3.55 and Install multiMAN 04.12.00

4.30 v2.00

Rebuilt from scratch using OFW4.30 files only (no DEX/SEX files) with official XMB and full features working as in OFW4.30
All known problems like XMB icons sorting and Demo Mode issues from v 1.04 are now all gone with the use of the official XMB.
Removed the classical "Install Package Files" Icon from XMB to have a 100% original XMB (no DEX/SEX files used).
Installing Package Files can be done from multiMAN 04.12.00 (XMMB Home column or MMOS File Manager).
Patched LV1 to disable LV2 Protection.
Patched LV1 to add peek/poke support to replace hvc 182/183 (multiMAN Direct Disc Access is now working fine with CFW4.21/4.30 v2.00)
Patched LV1 to disable SYSTEM MANAGER INTEGRITY CHECK (to prevent Bricking on non-dehashed downgraded consoles)
Patched LV1 Core OS Hash Check (to prevent Bricking on non-dehashed downgraded consoles)
Patched LV2 to add peek/poke support. (for both LV1 and LV2)
Patched VSH to enable ReActPSN compatibility (Allow Unsigned act.dat and *.rif files, Disable Unlinking/Deleting of act.dat)
Spoofed the system version to latest OFW version 4.31.
PSN/SEN access is available as long as the current "passphrase" still the same.
Loading games from App_home Icon is now fixed.
It can run games signed with Keys up to version 4.30 without any Eboot/Sprx patching needed
Games can be loaded from Disc Icon (with Original game in BD) and from app_home (Disc-less, but not all games).
Current 3.55 homebrew applications can't be loaded on this CFW, applications must be re-signed properly for FW4.21/4.30

4.21 v2.00

Same Features as CEX_4.30 v2.00 plus the following add-ons:
1.) It does have the default "Install Package Files" node on XMB. (no need to have multiMAN installed before using it)
2.) It does have LV1 Checks Disabled and can be used directly instead of Rogero3.55 v3.7 while downgrading with Hardware Flashers.
3.) It does have the Proper Cinavia Disabled Files for the users who needs it.

hello everyone, can anybody teld me if i can downgrade OFW 4.30 on a PS3 320gb the uncharted 3 bundle?

You can downgrade from 4.30 with a hardware flasher as long your base fw is not above 3.55/3.56. Check this with minverchk pup.

Btw, you got a 3tb drive to format in fat32 on just one big partition?

when trying to install update I get error saying data is corrupted....how can I fix it???
Also I have 4.30 original firmware, I hope that is not problem!

That is your biggest problem.

Yeah sorry bud - you can't install ANY custom firmware on top of ANY official firmware higher than 3.55. You would need to downgrade with a hardware flasher and only if your model is supported by flashers

The system was not turned off properly the last time it was used.
The file system of the hard disk may be corrupted
This system will restart, check the file system and restore it if it is corrupted. If the file system is corrupted, it may take two to three hours to complete.
please help i don't know what to do

that clearly shows you do not shut down your ps3 in the proper way. always first exit a game that you are playing and reach the XMB. then from there go to shut down, then wait till it has completely shut down, thats when you switch off your wall socket.

You can go directly from Kmeaw to 4.30, but make sure to:
1. Install multiMAN v04.12.00 on your current cfw 3.55 (before you update)
2. Install QA
3. Make sure that it is enabled
4. Go to recovery menu
5. System update
6. Install Rogero 4.30

Hey guys it looks like there,s a big fight for the ultimate cfw on at the minute but credit to all these great developers for giving us such a great choice
i would say if it is gave a few weeks we will see who is on top.I am on rogero 4.21 v1 and its going alright but miss that cinavia fix i would like to get
to rebug 4.21 but they say it is for the more advanced user is that true? Plus whatever happened to the great step by step tut for these cfw, the tutorial for
kmeaw when it first came out was great i used it so many times, so just a request to some of them pretty smart people out there who all this comes so easy to
put up a nice step by step tutorial and have it on the front page so we can all test these cfw out,PLEASE DON'T NEED A SMART ASS TO TELL ME THAT ALL THE INFO
IS THERE BUT ITS ALL GONE WAY OUT OF HAND UPGRADERS DOWNGRADERS AN SO ON NICE TUT PLEEEEEEEEEEEEESE.

That will also work.

No need to install QA after downgrader ? And no need to install firmware with LV1 no checks (like rogero 3.7) after downgrader?
