Rogero a PlayStation 3 Custom Firmware Developers has released V2 of his 4.30 CFW along with a 4.21 CFW version. The 4.30 CFW has been built from scratch using official 4.30 firmware files (CEX files). All the issues like XMB icon sorting and Demo Mode from v1.04 are now all in the past with v2.00. LV1/LV2 patches were added for many additional features such as Direct Disc Access you can view all additional features below in the changelog. For additional information please checkout the Official Rogero CFW V2 thread @ tortuga-cove. NOTE: You must have multiMAN v04.12.00 Prior to installing this CFW.-- LINK

You must have multiMAN version 04.12.00 installed on the PS3 before updating to CFW4.30 v2.00 or you won't be able to install Package files until you downgrade again to version 3.55 and Install multiMAN 04.12.00

4.30 v2.00

Rebuilt from scratch using OFW4.30 files only (no DEX/SEX files) with official XMB and full features working as in OFW4.30
All known problems like XMB icons sorting and Demo Mode issues from v 1.04 are now all gone with the use of the official XMB.
Removed the classical "Install Package Files" Icon from XMB to have a 100% original XMB (no DEX/SEX files used).
Installing Package Files can be done from multiMAN 04.12.00 (XMMB Home column or MMOS File Manager).
Patched LV1 to disable LV2 Protection.
Patched LV1 to add peek/poke support to replace hvc 182/183 (multiMAN Direct Disc Access is now working fine with CFW4.21/4.30 v2.00)
Patched LV1 to disable SYSTEM MANAGER INTEGRITY CHECK (to prevent Bricking on non-dehashed downgraded consoles)
Patched LV1 Core OS Hash Check (to prevent Bricking on non-dehashed downgraded consoles)
Patched LV2 to add peek/poke support. (for both LV1 and LV2)
Patched VSH to enable ReActPSN compatibility (Allow Unsigned act.dat and *.rif files, Disable Unlinking/Deleting of act.dat)
Spoofed the system version to latest OFW version 4.31.
PSN/SEN access is available as long as the current "passphrase" still the same.
Loading games from App_home Icon is now fixed.
It can run games signed with Keys up to version 4.30 without any Eboot/Sprx patching needed
Games can be loaded from Disc Icon (with Original game in BD) and from app_home (Disc-less, but not all games).
Current 3.55 homebrew applications can't be loaded on this CFW, applications must be re-signed properly for FW4.21/4.30

4.21 v2.00

Same Features as CEX_4.30 v2.00 plus the following add-ons:
1.) It does have the default "Install Package Files" node on XMB. (no need to have multiMAN installed before using it)
2.) It does have LV1 Checks Disabled and can be used directly instead of Rogero3.55 v3.7 while downgrading with Hardware Flashers.
3.) It does have the Proper Cinavia Disabled Files for the users who needs it.

how to install packages from multiman? my install packages option is missing.

If you are on MM XMMB view go all the way to the left and its like the third option down. You may also need to check in the setting column to install as a PSN bubble.

If you do not see these options it means you skipped reading the OP and did not install the latest MM first. You have to downgrade back to 3.55 CFW and install the latest MM (or at least 4.12.00) and then you will have it in MM

Alternatively, you can install the special install pkgs pkg found in the post about MM latest release so you can install in bubble mode outside MM.

Both bubble method installs require an automatic reboot of the PS3 after selecting which pkgs to make into bubble installs, so dont freak.

Just click Triangle on the bubble when ur ps3 reboots, and choose install.

The mirror link file is probably bad or tampered with. I grabbed it from the mirror and got the same md5 hash you did, even thought he file size matches exactly. It would be astronomically unlikely for us to have files garbled in transit that both produce the same incorrect md5, I'm betting on something borked in the file that's on that mirror.

Pulled the file from a different mirror (found elsewhere) and got the 116ecceb79b2adde8479fd24951a5a90 hash as expected.

Glad I'm paranoid enough to have checked.

MD5 Checksum : 8CFB710EF9BF7632C35B3DCF891986B6 works perfectly. Just upgraded from Kmeaw 3.55 today. Works perfect, even bought some stuff from Playstation store activated and installed successfully.

i am running on 3.55 with rogero backup manager and i am having number of games working through hdd. i want to upgrade from 3.55 to rogero 4.30 v2 so where do i find my md5 number and which cfw should i use and tell me the necessity of QA package.

hello guys! I got it all working.. I was on TB 3.55v2 got it back to OFW 3.55 then ==> CFW 3.55v7 ==> Q&A + Multiman 04.13.00 ==> CFW 4.30 v2.00
games are working fine, and everything is ok.. the only problem is.. that I can't use my old saved game data! and if I go to "saved data utility (PS3)" I see my saves.. but when I enter a game it does not see my profile or progress..
does anyone have the same issue? and is there a way to fix this?
games I tried loading are AC3 FIFA13 and LA Noire

Everytime I try to update my firmware to Rogero cfw 4.30 v2 my ps3 says it's not valid I need 4.40 or later. What can I do to resolve this problem? I was on 4.30 v1.04 but then I downgraded to 3.55 v7, now I'm stuck. Any suggestions?

you need to reinstall 3.55 ofw i think...

So I want to be sure that I am doing all I can to prevent a brick in installing roger cfw 4.30. I am currently on kmeaw 3.55, I need to install multiman 4.12 or higher, install qa toggle, and be sure to md5 check rogero pkg file and run qa toggle before updating through multimans update pkg file installer all in recovery mode?

I want to get rogero 4.30 v2.
But i have rogero 3.55 v7.
What must i do to get rogero 4.30 v2.
How i prevent bricking.
I don't know how my ps3 is downgraded.
But i know for certainly that my ps3 is downgraded.
mush i dehash my ps3 or what must i do.
