Rockstar and Sony Response to the PSN leaked version of GTA V
There has been a series of odd events that has happen the past several days ever since the digital version of Grand Theft Auto V
was seen on the PSN store for early download. Now the game is not playable until the 17th of September but as Sony has done with several titles this year they allowed users who pre-ordered to download the game. Then come the 17th the additional files needed would be downloaded in the form of a patch. Well as user's obtained the direct link they downloaded the pkg and inspected the contents uncovering many things. Like full radio stations and and even audio of many cut scenes. So many things about the games plot where uncovered.
seeing this was an issue have since pulled the downloads as many details where being leaked. Rockstar was the first to make an official response and they claimed the "leaks" where fake. Many people knew it was not fake since it came from Sony servers. So then Rockstar then changed there tune a bit with a new response after Sony had issued theirs. Sony response countered Rockstar's initial response when they acknowledge the leaked info came from the pre-download on PSN. You can checkout some of the responses below. Regrettably, some people who downloaded the digital pre-order of Grand Theft Auto V through the PlayStation Store in Europe were able to access certain GTA V assets. These assets were posted online. We have since removed the digital pre-order file from the PlayStation Store in Europe. We sincerely apologize to Rockstar and GTA fans across the world who were exposed to the spoiler content. GTA V is one of the most highly anticipated games of the year with a very passionate following, and we’re looking forward to a historic launch on September 17.
