    Member over at the french forum Logic-Sunrise that goes by the name of Onishin has just released a modified version of jjolano's OpenPS3FTP. This little application splits files that are greater than 4 GB for easy file transfer for the PS3. Here is a quote.



    Onishin, a member and developper of our forum (Logic Sunrise), delivers to us today his nice homebrew called OpenPS3FTPsplit, a modded version of OpenPS3FTP 2.3′s source code, the famous FTP server designed by jjolano. This programme has a brand-new and very useful feature: it splits files larger than 4Go during FTP transfer. Meaning that if you want to transfer one such file to the internal HDD of your PS3, or to a FAT32 external HDD plugged to it, you just need to launch the copy and the software will automatically fragment the file.

      Using it now! I like it. I x-fer like 5 games a night when people at home are sleeping and it works great never have to unplug hard drive now

      So I plug in my NTFS HDD with files bigger than 4GB on it and this will automatically split them?

      whats the point exactly....... its really stupid. ok. FTP file to the premises. thats how you get a game with a file over 4gb to xfer onto your ps3.... ok so why does it need a file splitter...? i mean. if your gonna ftp into yur ps3 whats the point of splitting the file its not like you cant just stick the whole damn game on there. this is useless. even for ext hdd. why would u wanna ftp to ur ps3 to ur ext hdd. that would take twice as long as just putting the game on ur int hdd. very useless. oh and since that stupid math "breaking news" thread was closed. i just wanted to say, that guy is an idiot. yeah awesome i think im gonna link my twitter to an illegal operation scene. Wonderful news mate! i hope you and your faggot ass boyfriend choke on each others dicks. grown ass man with a twitter... thats ****in funny. and just wanted to throw a gtfo to the scene...threatening ppl with week bans that i didnt see happen as several of the posters are still postin shit lol. anyway i wish that faggot ass mother ****er the best, when hes the only one going online with "3.73cfw", i hope sony puts a bigger dick up his ass than he is already used to! stupid asses....

      The download comes with (2) .PKG files. I assume I simply install this onto my PS3 via USB stick as usual etc., But not sure what to do after? I am simply looking for a program that I can have split the 4GB files and then transfer them over to my External.. then copy to Internal. I don't like using FTP method, I actually rather buy the game, copy it into HDD and return it after to simply avoid the FTP 4GB stuff =/

      For me Sometimes when I x-fer like 5 games at a time at night it used to freeze on some of the <+4G file games. Now with this, it doesn't. Strange?
