Record of Agarest War 2 English Patch - For JB/CFW 3.41 & 3.55 Consoles

Everyone fanboy's fantasy just got better, with the release of Record of Agarest War 2 English Patch, available for 3.41 and 3.55 JB/CFW PS3 console users. Pretty much everything is patched in English, and ready to be played. And the best part of all, no dongle is need to enjoy this game. So Enjoy!

Following up on the Record of Agarest War Zero PS3 Custom Firmware fix, today an English patch for Record of Agarest War 2 for PlayStation 3 CFW 3.41 / 3.55 is available.

Below is a brief guide for those interested, as follows:

1) Buy the English version of the game, or get it from somewhere
2) Download and Install the BLUS30881 Patch (replace the files)
3) Play!

There is no need for any dongle! 99% of the game is in English, Story, Items, Skills, everything, the only thing that is in Japanese are some things in the menu, which are totally not important.

Here are some screens as proof:

If you want to play on 3.41 you need to install the official Japanese 1.02 Patch [BLJM60273_[UPDATE_01_PS3FW_03.4100]_VER_01.02.pkg], in Multiman (or with FTP) go to /dev_hdd0/game/BLJM60273/USRDIR/SEC, and replace the files there from the original English release. (AG01, AG05, AG10, AG17, AG20 and AG22...)

On 3.55 it should work without the 1.02 Patch, but I haven't tested that, so if you have trouble Install the Patch, replace the files, and Enjoy!

It is called a work around. Obviously, this game was released in Japan long before it came to the states. If someone were to request something, it would have to meet the same criteria.

I'm a bit confused. In the TB compatibility chart we reported that the version that was made available and patched was BLUS30686--which is the US version. Wasn't it already in English?

So if this is right, then what this game currently offers is just a way to make it play without TB?

Also, I like to point out that the first version of this game. (without the 2) Record_of_Agarest_War_KOR_PS3-SQUARE back in 2008 was either in Korean or Japanese, and no English version was made available--at least that's what I know. Did they mix these two up?

I must be having a blonde moment. I just realized that the TB patched version is named differently. Record of Agarest War Zero

It might have been tried, but perhaps not the same way. That would seem like a game they could do, and I am sure people would be very happy about it.

seems like clicking on character profiles, viewing items, trying to adjust aspect ratio, or viewing gallery causes the game to hang or crash.

NEED SOME HELP

I have looked everywhere for the USA torrent to the game. I have no luck in finding it. I have been trying to download it from a few sites that hold them but its taking forever. Even with internet download manager. Can i ask someone to upload it and allow me to get it please from a torrent. Thanks!

I wouldn't of thought the Japanese patch would work for this, since it would override the new eboot...

me either, but it's 386 megs and that's what the instructions gave. Maybe it has some dependencies in there
