I'm also curious of the benefit of having multiple options for the different kinds of installers. Probably a noob question, but we can only learn through asking sometimes!

No, really, what's the point. FTP across PKG's and install them via the hdd option then delete them.
There's no need to have them in separate locations.

you're not right, the full effect of the mod is by the theme. it's not only an image theme which is modifing the xmb. please watch video @ iceman-modz

When is this CFW stuff gonna be available on the 4.25 OFW to install? I can't downgrade to 3.55 or I would of long time back. I could actually but I can't afford a flasher to go back down. I am on 4.25 OFW and I want a installer from there. Please find a way to do it. Thanks

Heh keep wishing there, it took years for devs to find the single exploit to hack ps3s at 3.41/3.55 and now that hole is closed and another almost 3 years have passed and we pretty much just got LV0 keys and are now able to play games passed 3.60 without DRM leeching devices and can decrypt future games and firmware. So ya might now want to hold your breath on getting a new easy software based hack and go get yourself a hardware flashed, your handle is Bandger1975 which id assume but could be wrong that your born in 75, a 37 yr old should be able to afford it (heh apologies if im off base). Even if its not a money issue and more or a skill issue with soldering, I believe theres even a solderless flasher on the market. Either way the fact is that even though nothing is impossible, I highly doubt were going to see a new hack for newer consoles especially with the ps3 hitting near the end of its lifecycle and theres already methods (even if not free/noob friendly) available to downgrade later consoles, i don't see them working their ass off finding a new hole.

What we need are developers that don't have piracy concerns. The keys already been found. It's sitting on some rich kids computer. It's sad, but the people with the options of education to breach these sorts of security are also the ones who want for nothing. Those who preach abstinence are often in abundance.

I just sold my 3.55 CFw phat 2 weeks ago for 180$, I told the dude it would only stay on for a minute without turning its self off from overheating and he still wanted it, and then found a 3.55 ofw slim for 200$.

Sold my sisters 4.25 Slim 4 days ago for $195 and found a phat cfw 3.55 for $150.

Edit: Yep they both work fine, no hair dryer jobs.

I would talk to the dudes that are selling them and ask them for a 1 or 2 week warranty, both sellers I talked to didnt mind doing that.

Just an FYI, I got lucky with the phat I bought, it was the killzone budle. only came out a year and a half ago so its in really good condition, don't expect that with a majority of them.
