  • PSX-Scene's Download-Upload-Hosting Services

This is just a reminder to our valued members and developers, and everyone else. In wake of the MegaUPLOAD being shut down by the feds, and now various problems with other download/upload/hosting services; we here at PSX-Scene offer a download/upload/hosting service of our own, that we hope can suit most of your needs.

Along the top bar, underneath the PSX-Scene logo; there you will see a Downloads button, that brings you to another section of our site. Many of you can use this to upload your files, as well as create "links" for your downloads that you can use on other websites, and you will not have to worry about them being gone anytime soon. So stop by, and check it out today... and get uploading

Note: Current File Size Limitation is 10mb.

I've used it occasionally but it's not a bad idea for people to start using this. 75% (roughly) of the hosting sites have been having serious random down times since megaupload got raided. I'm sure that they're cleaning house in some way to protect themselves and we don't know what the results will be yet. The sad thing about losing megaupload was that they were one of the better ones about deleting reported pirated material. Most of the stuff on there was legitimate stuff. They will be missed

That is a great Idea. I have been uploading and next day links are dead. I will begin to upload here.
Will this is will make the ISH exclusive the the scene? Perhaps I can update my Ps3.rpf and upload it. Uploadin like cray lately.

@nativesith, yes, that means people would have to create an account in order to download it. You can always use mirrors, too. But for the mean time, this is what I have had to do to get files uploaded.

The other hosting sites are having issues because of bandwidth usage. Once megaupload went down you could only imagine the high spike of usage for every other popular site.

@Mathematician - yeah, i can see that - Megaupload was so popular because free users didn't have to enter any captchas. The only solution I've found for the annoying captchas other than premium link generators is MiPony + CaptchaTrader - You basically enter in a whole bunch of captchas ahead of time instead of entering them when prompted. Both methods suck - link generators have severe limits to the amount you can download and CaptchaTrader doesn't bypass the captchas - it just lets you get them out of the way all at on time

can we use the hosting for save files?

@cyris, 10MB for now. We can always look into expanding that later. I will take a look at the mmCM files.

@jalaneme, I do not see why not. We can always add categories to suit our members needs.

@tthousand - it would be good to get everything in a centralized location anyway and like you were saying, better/more categories to try to cover all the bases

I think it may work better for the files to be uploaded else where and have a moderator (i nominate myself 25 - 50Mbps connection lmao) download and reupload the files here to prevent A**holes who upload viruses and malware.

yeah, a moderator for the files would be good so the files could be scanned for BS. You'd just have to put a tag next to files that have been checked

you know kurdispower i know a little kurdish language .lol anyway you have to choose which Cat. you want to upload the file

      for example :

      Downloads > PS3> PS3 Tools>Backup Managers > Add New File

now you can click Add New File to upload a new file however it will remain unapprove till on of Mods/Admins click on Approve

It would probably be better to have a upload button/text to click on as soon as you click on "Download" under the logo, and have which category you want to choose on that upload page otherwise it is going to confuse a lot of people who don't know how to do something if it isn't right infront of their face flashing.
