Check out the leader board and don't forget to vote for your favorite entries.

Here is the updated leader board for the October PSX-Scene monthly contest as of October 7th.

      Nothing against Facanferff......but.......

Should small updates be allowed in the contest?
I mean a complete rebuild is one thing, but if small updates are allowed then where is deank with the massive amount of updates he puts out?

Again, I like the plugin and am glad Facanferff won last month, but I just don't think the same thing with a few differences should be allowed.

Just one mans opinion, but I will stand behind it.

I understand your view but I should correct you, the Youtube version that won September's contest was the v0.4, this is v1.0.1 (v1.0 and v1.0.1 are as one in this month's participation) for the difference between those see the changelog in the article of the second please, it was a major update, the plugin was nearly completely redesigned.

Dean has chosen to make his updates available on other sites first, which is one of the rules of the contest, it has to be released here!!

I would like to see a patch/pkg that allows compatibility with a touch screen lcd monitor. Even if was only with xmb and/or xxmb, which would make most sense, being that an entire game would have to be broken down and rebuilt with touch capability, the idea would do well. Easily navigate through your music, photo's, and video's, as well as support for homebrew games/apps. Just a thought from a noob for his first post! Glad to be a part of the scene!

I don't think that is ever going to happen. There are much bigger issues that I'm sure the talented developers are working on that would reach a wider audience. I can name a few off the top of my head like a new CFW or a decryption program for the games that won't run on 3.55 CFW. Also better emulation support like the long awaited Nintendo 64 emulator or PS2 emulation on consoles that don't have native support or hell, why don't we have MAME? MAME is ported on just about everything. I think you can even run some games on some of the better calculators. Or I hate to bring this up because I know the comments I'm going to get on this, but bring back PSN to 3.55 CFW without having to go through swapping hard drives and opening up their system and installing additional hardware. Damn I miss F*ckPSN but not enough to give up my 200+ games. I can't imagine that there are really all that many people who have their system hooked up to a touch screen monitor. I'm pretty sure that most people sit in their living room on the couch and wouldn't want to get up all the time to navigate a menu system by touching the screen. I do think that it's not a bad idea though, but it's probably better suited for portable systems. I would have liked it on my PSP before I sat on it and broke the screen

Thank you both for the clarification.
      I stand corrected.

I did jump the gun and didn't read the changelog. For that, I do apologize.
As I said......."I mean a complete rebuild is one thing" and this sounds pretty close to what you have done.
Maybe it deserves a better "looksee" and a little click on the like button.

Thanks bitsbubba, I don't know how I missed that one. I do have a question though. Does anyone know a rough estimate of what percentage of games work on this mame release and also if games with CHD (compressed hard drive) files will work. The last time I played around with mame on a video game system was the PSP and I was annoyed that games like Killer Instinct, Area 51, and War Gods wouldn't work because the port didn't support these files.
