PSVita LiveArea preViewer[Released]

It seems that SKFU{StreetSkaterFU) has been busy again with releasing his latest application for the new upcoming portable by Sony that is the PS Vita. However, a new application has been developed, this time its the PSVita LiveArea preViewer. It is to be noted that this application was intended for test purposes, and is not meant for the average end-user but mainly for any of the upcoming developers that intend to start working on the PSVita. Here is a quote from the blog of SKFU

This application is probably not of use for the community but some official PS VITA developers.

I required it just for some tests, but it would be a waste of codelines not to share it, so here it is:

PS VITA Live Area preViewer outputs various information about a game, including it’s style it uses on the PS VITA.

To use it, simply choose the root folder of a PS VITA game. Then check the style in the upper right of the program which it is ment to be displayed with and choose the correct tab. All else is self-explaining.

Cool.

Is it me or does it seem that all signs point to the Vita getting hacked to pieces.

That's just you. It likely will get hacked, but a few applications hardly are any proof of security being bypassed.

I think all these PSVita releases are fake and someone is looking for attention. thers no way you can make apps like this without the hardware or some software on hand. not sure why psx scene even reports this crap.

There are hundreds if not more dev. units out there in the world who is to say SKFU doesn't know someone who has one, a game dev working for some software comp., or has gotten his hands on a dev unit himself? These types of things do happen, it's not like SKFU hasn't been around for a while.

just because you've been around for a while dont mean nothing. no useful tools or exploits from him just proof of concepts that didn't go anywhere. i'm going to release a proof of concept for hacking the PS4 and how to extract and preview Xbox 720 firmware. since no one can use it for years i guess i'll be respected as "being around for a while"

The difference between him and you is he has ACTUALLY released things so what if they are just POCs or not, DAX started out w/ POCs. He has his hands on something, the Vita PKG file structure has been put out by him, you can check endlessparadigmDOTcom if you want to check it out. I'll be looking for your release...........

I can't wait to see your fine release either Cyris. You say it's fake because the masses don't have their hands on a console yet, but when it does come out and skfu's work is proven beyond a shadow of a doubt, then are you going to come back on here and apologize? I'll be the first one to tell you I'm no programmer but I've been around for a while and I've never known skfu to be full of shit. I am a little bit curious as to how he got a dev unit myself but I'll roll with it. Keep it up. I hope to see more from you skfu, and don't pay attention to the doubters

yea i'll be releasing the PS4 Firmware Extractor next week. of course no one can test it to see if i'm full of shit but i should be front page news for it.

You seem to be under the impression that the Vita is years away.

It's to be launched in Japan in two weeks, so SKFU may even have a retail unit.

i know the ps vita is 2 weeks away. who doesn't know that. i'm also calling fake on these tools now and will come back with a i told you so once your able to try this and see it doesn't work. even if it did work it would be dumb to release tool for it so sony can plug that hole before release. @offshore i love how people with 8 post think they know what there talking about too

I love how people with only 36 posts think they know what they are talking about too.

Your post basically amounts to "It's fake. And if it's not fake, he's stupid anyway". I'm not sure why you are so convinced that it is impossible to get something before it is officially released. I mean, it happens pretty much anytime anything at all is released.

That may be true about getting something before release but I think it is not wise to advertise it so The Big S plugs the wholes
Even if this works now by the time of release we know they will fix it

My thoughts exactly RandOalan my complaint is more about the PS3 scene sites report anything without comfirming thats another reason why the 360 scene is more respected and more solid. not to mention they have smarter homebrew devs. I keep seeing how people say you can edit the xmb by just modifying XML files but we still dont have a custom interface and its been over a year since the system was hacked. either its laziness from those with the skills to do it or they lack the skills
