PSP 6.60 ME Beta 2 Time Machine Addon Released By neur0n

A week ago, neur0n released a specially prepared version of his 6.60 ME custom firmware for use with Time Machine. He's back with a new update to chuck in some new additions to his addon. If you think that going through 6.60 ME on your memory stick was interesting enough, here's some other things to check out.

With the Beta 2 release, the official and debug flavors of firmware 6.60 can be installed and launched. Not only that, neur0n brings back another DAX tool called Despertar Cementerio. With the modified DCv9 update, OFW 6.60 and 6.60 ME can be flashed from the memory stick in the Time Machine / Pandora Battery setup. The purpose of this allows you to update to the latest custom firmware, whether you're unbricking a PSP or starting fresh again.

neur0n's Time Machine addon does not require that you have an already existing Time Machine setup. The installer is a standalone version and will only require the 6.60 official firmware EBOOT to get everything going.

Install Instructions:

With TimeMachine Already Installed:

Copy TIMEMACHINE_ADDON folder to PSP/GAME directory on memorystick.
Copy official 6.60 to root of memorystick, rename it to 660.PBP.
Add/change this line in CONFIG.TXT file inside TM folder on memorystick: SQUARE = "/TM/660/ipl.bin"; (Or any free key combo)
Run TIMEMACHINE_ADDON and choose option install 660ME, wait until all files are extracted.
Shutdown PSP and power up again with the Square button pressed.

Fresh Install:

Copy TIMEMACHINE_ADDON folder to PSP/GAME directory on memorystick.
Copy official 6.60 to root of memorystick, rename it to 660.PBP.
Run TIMEMACHINE_ADDON and choose option1: install iplloader on MS boot sector.
Choose option2: install 660ME (01g + 02g model). Wait until all files are extracted.
Shutdown PSP and power up again with the Square button pressed.
Add/change this line in CONFIG.TXT file inside TM folder on memorystick: SQUARE = "/TM/660/ipl.bin";

Thanks for coming back with more details on how to use this. I will have to take a closer inspection and see exaclty what I can do with this on my 3K model.

I don't think that this will work on a PSP-3000 simply because Pandora's Battery is blocked.

Well, I also have a launch model on 5.50 Gen D with some Prome added. Would it be wise to update to this? And would it be easy to downgrade if the need ever arises?

This allows you to use your old FW and use ME both

So why deinstall it

Hold square during boot and your in ME don't hold during boot and of your original CFW

Had to ad this now were is the Time Machine for the other models so every FW can have ME

My PSP has been shutted down for loooong time I turned it on the Data and Time where reseted XD. Well I am currently on 5.50 Prometheus it is a Gen with a Prometheus updated added! I do have a pandora sealed never used it because when I pandorized mine using a software I cant remember. I would Like the benefits over this one I am currently and If it is possible to play Final Fantasy Tipe-0 Jap?

It should PRO and ME both have the ability to run type-o but not sure with this

Yes, it's easy to downgrade the Phats. Time Machine doesn't install to your internal flash. It installs to your memory stick... Everything you do within a TM firmware is contained with the memory stick.

looks pretty sweet.

I dont care what anyone says but a hacked psp to date is STILL the best handheld out there. Let people have their Ferrari (PS VITA) I will stick with my psp phat.

Sucks that there are no more new games/ support is going to happen for the psp oh well.

But all of you have to admit a hacked psp is REALLY tough to beat when it comes to the best handheld of all time unless anyone disagrees?
