  • PSN Title LIMBO Now Playable on Jailbroken PS3's

    It has come to our attention that a new PSN title, Limbo, is now playable on your jailbroken PS3 which required official firmware 3.60 and above. Limbo (NPUB30373) can now be played on custom firmware using multiMAN. This is good news for those who have purchased the game and are unable to play it using custom firmware. The game has been tested on firmware’s Kmeaw & Waninkoko using multiMAN v1.15, so please report back if working on newer versions of multiMAN. Also note where the game is to be launched from by reading the source below.

    3.6+ FW PSN title Limbo (NPUB30373), which now works on PS3 Custom Firmware 3.55 including Kmeaw, Waninkoko CFW and with multiMAN PS3 Backup Manager.

    This news comes just two weeks since the Sony PS3 Full 3.60 SDK was leaked by JoHNAaRoN.

    To quote: Limbo is a black and white puzzle-platforming adventure that puts players in the role of a young boy traveling through a hostile world in an attempt to discover the fate of his sister.

    Installation Notes:

    1) Install limbo_demo.pkg
    2) Copy folder LIMBO to your GAMES folder
    3) Run Multiman and select Limbo game
    4) Start Limbo from */app_home/PS3_GAME/ option. Do not start limbo from XMB Link created when you installed demo.pkg, because this is the demo, of course. (Go to XMB / Game */app_home/PS3_GAME/ and press X above *Install Package Files)
    5) Enjoy Full Game

    Note: Do not start limbo from the XMB Link created when you installed demo.pkg, because this starts only the demo.

    It works on 3.55 and it's tested with Kmeaw and multiMAN1.15, to the end of game. Its just easy. When you have Limbo mounted with multiMAN, just start it with XMB option */app_home/PS3_GAME/

      Hahaha Ow its piracy, even people with jailbroken PS3's are illegally playing games??? :o where is the world going to.... This comes as a shock to me

      nah man, I'm just saying. I ****ing hate the people who say PIRACY R TEH WRONG like you're stealing an actual copy from someone you know.

      What i dont understand is: HOW IS THIS EVEN POSSIBLE??? 3.56+ working on 3.55 without having the keys.

      I am curious about this as well.

      Maybe this same method can be used on PSN bought games like Portal 2, since most games can be bought on PSN these days.

      I completely agree, I was able to find said DEMO on my first try. Better than that, I don't even care to download it. Poor fella can't even take a handout without a treasure map...

      Argh .. Can someone fix this .. Saying Limbo is a 3.60 game is a lie .. its only a 3.50 game
      Hell i think even the Param is set to 3.50.It uses NPDRM and is set for Key 7 = 3.50 key A = 3.55 and key 10 = 3.60
      lets not get ppl thinking that this is a way to play 3.60 games on the 3.50 ps3 ..

      this is just the devs messing up and leaving a way into the app loader (normaly used to bypass the key)when debugging or with other dev things ..
      so please lets name this for the great thing it is a way to play Limbo a PSN game .. <But remember had nothing to do with the 3.60 SDK or anything like that

      If u think im just lieing .. i have no reason to lie .. Google Skiller CMP if u dont know who i am and ull see i have no need to lie :P

      My thoughts exactly, but my favorite part is the first post railing against piracy followed by a direct link to the file.
