PSN Open To Custom Firmware Users - Let The Games Begin

I have been toying with the idea of front paging this for a day of two. Ever since I thought I should get a little more active on Twitter. While online I noticed a few Tweets by @dantezteam claiming access to PSN on pretty much any custom firmware. At first I was skeptical until I asked some MODS here to validate his claims and Shaitan pulled through. Well my skepticism was met with truth, PSN is back for custom firmware users!!

OpenPS3FTP can be found under Network column not Games - Note: first time I used this program. I wondered where the hell it was. LMFAO
OpenPS3FTP Username: root
OpenPS3FTP Password: anything - what ever you want

Make sure to backup your CERT27 and also to REBOOT the PS3 after install.

Confirmed WORKING!

IP address .... 192.168.1.*** - A IP NOT USED BY OTHER PC's and SUCH in your home/business
Subnet Mask ... 255.255.255.0
Default gateway... 192.168.1.1 - YOUR DEFAULT ROUTER IP
DNS Server1.... 192.168.1.*** - YOUR PC IP
DNS Server2.... 192.168.1.1 or 8.8.8.8

R2 - CO-OP

I know I'm been a little messy right now. But I have been following this for a day or two with hopes of bringing great news to our valued members. So hit me if I have missed something.

cool i guess. But i don't have really any PSN online games anymore, I did play Black Ops back in the day But it got old and with no online play i just did not need it anymore.
I guess it would be cool if it still works once Black Ops 2 comes out....If we can even play it LOL

on you windows open a command window
type ipconfig then press enter
then from the list copy the ipv4 address and set this as your primary dns on the ps3 network connection
then copy the default gateway and set as the secondary dns on the ps3
make sure ****psn is running and away you go ..

do I need a router for this or direct connection(PC-PS3) with an ethernet cable?

You can use a router or wireless but no direct connection (PS3-PC). They just need to be on the same network.

as much as i like the idea behind this app i cant see it lasting long because of that i cant get to excited

yh i could do with some help to do i need to disable sen enabler/disabler to make this work bcos when i go to replace the ca27 filezilla tells me theres a critical error trying to replace this file and im not even finding dev_blind im finding dev flash/data/cert ect... so som1 please help or can some1 just bring out another bypass pkg

What for? Run F*ckPSN on your computer. Your PS3's network settings are listed in the article. You just have to change your DNS to your PC's IP address and then go online

@DEX users - I saw somewhere that this works with DEX too. Is that just 3.55 DEX or 4.21 DEX? Please save me the trouble of switching back just to check. Thanks

Works with both, you just have to change the enviroment to np in debug settings.
