Great news for everyone who missed out on connecting their 3.55 CFW PS3s to the PSN, the team Codename: Rebug has released a simple to install PKG file that will allow you to once again access the current PSN, and download your missing DLC files, or simply recover/create a username so you can enable ReactPSN. I am sure over the next couple of days, many users will be sure to take full advantage of this option. That is, before Sony catches on and decides to put a stop to it; which may have to wait until after this year's E3 convention, scheduled for June 5th - 7th.

And now a warning. Warning, use at your own risk. You have been warned.

Thought we would give everyone a few days of PSN ACCESS with 4.11 Version Spoofer 2.2 for 3.55 ONLY. It is has reActPSN 2.0 compatibility for both your normal and spoofed vsh.self. The app backs up your current files before activating the spoof, then auto reboots.
INSTALL:
Press L1+CROSS to INSTALL 4.11 Version Spoof files to your PS3
ACTIVATE/DEACTIVATE:
Press L1+CROSS to ACTIVATE/DEACTIVATE (System will reboot)
UNINSTALL:
Press L1+CIRCLE to UNINSTALL (this will deactivate the spoofer, remove the spoof files from dev_flash and reboot if needed)

NOTE: Please do not email us about game compatibility. Some may just require a simple PARAM.SFO edit to get past the latest game update, others may not work at all because the game NEEDS the newer files. Also your PS3 will need to be restarted to use reActPSN 2.0 if you HAVE INSTALLED but NOT ACTIVATED the Version Spoofer.

It has been a while between drinks but that doesn’t mean we’ve been doing nothing so without any fanfare here is Rebug Update Package 0.7 (3.55.2). This will update REBUG’s version spoof files to 4.11 and enable reActPSN 2.0 compatibility. As usual all previous fixes and updates are included.

Oh.. Did we mention we got you PSN ACCESS back…. Dont hold your breath hoping it lasts though!!!

UPDATER WILL PERFORM THE FOLLOWING TASKS
Update the Rebug Selector package to Rebug Selector 1.5.1 and 1.6.1

Update the current version spoof files to 4.11 with PSN access

Add reActPSN 2.0 compatibility

INSTALL
1: Install Rebug_Update_Package.pkg file from XMB
2: Run Rebug Update Package from the [Games] menu
3: Follow the on screen prompts
4: PS3 will reboot if needed when finished

NOTE: Once the PS3 has rebooted you can delete Rebug Update Package from your XMB as it is not needed.

NOTE: Rebug Selector 1.5.1 and 1.6.1 are identical in their function but for some reason on random PS3 Rebug Selector 1.5.1 (Which we consider to be the more user-friendly) freezes. We have included them both just incase.

More Information About These Releases:

Last year, PSN was just being restored by Sony themselves on this day after the big 'hacks' had happened earlier in April 2011, that forced PSN offline for everyone!

But PSN has been offline even longer for Sony Playstation Jailbreak users whom have been stuck with using v3.55 CFW!

Well no longer, thanks to the non-stop hard work by TRUE 'scene' developers called 'TEAM REBUG', they have been able to finally restore PSN access to PS3 systems running CFW, with just a simple PKG and special new form of their 'spoofer' that brings into play all the correct 'key' info that is found within the current legit Sony v4.11 firmware and make it work amazing enough on Sony PS3 consoles that are still running the very outdated CFW v3.55

Now we all know this is not going to last long, maybe a week or two, so its basically being released as a short-term GIFT to all to enjoy (no complaints when its over!), to show to the world there is still a real 'scene' and its very much hard at work, and more is possible around the corner in the near future, it will just take more time, but once a door has been opened and you been able to peek inside and see all the riches it offers, it can never truly be closed by anyone, just some more roadblocks put in place and time has to be on your side and you will be able at some point to again explore behind the previously opened doorway.

Remember also these releases are NOT perfect, for one it runs on v3.55 and PSN is on v4.11, there will be some games that need UPDATEs installed to connect, without those PATCHs you might get errors or time-out after login to PSN, but there is ALOT of PSN access that does work, you just need to play around and experience on your own free will and see what works, and if you so wish share with other forums users what works and does not, and maybe this release will PUSH other sleeping developers to get off their back and improve on it, of course Sony will also be fast on track to find a way to block it, so just enjoy this GIFT while it lasts and don't forgot whom are truly working for you and the 'scene'.

Now this thread is only to 'give thanks' and general open chatter on the PROs and CONs on these releases, for full official support like problems installing them please check out 'Team REBUG' official release threads linked below.

Important Notes:

NOTE #1: It does not work for users with the Cobra CFW firmware installed, due to the way the dongle does internal security checks.
NOTE #2: For it to work on 'True Blue' you need to downgrade your dongle to v2.5/v2.51 and make sure you running v2 of their CFW (see info below)
NOTE #3: If you run any problems, remember to try a 'clean' CFW installed, with no reACTPSN or other spoofers or mods added!
NOTE #4: DON'T ACTIVATE/DEACTIVATE your PS3 on PSN to much in ONE DAY or Sony will LOCK you out for a WEEK :sad:

Ok I fixed it , It was because I was in REBUG mode but also DEBUG xmb... when I switch to RETAIL xmb with REBUG MODE...all is swell... i previously had REBUG 3.55 on and must have set it a long time ago.

for those who have Fat PS3 with 3.55 Kwean and having a problem
tested it out last night and WORKING as REBUG always has,
PSN and TEKKEN 6 online with MAD LAG
that is what you get for a free network.. lol

3 -- let it sit there and wait until screen changes says "INSTALLED"
4 -- Press L1+CROSS too activate spoofer

(System will reboot)

5 -- sign in with a new account and access PSN

have fun playing online again with SONY's permission.. ;p

Seems I have lost access to a few PSN games I purchased long before even 3.55.

Some of my PSN games still work, but so far out of the games I tested: Trine, Noby Noby Boy, and PAIN did not work (error 80029514). Critter Crunch, MegaMan 9, and MegaMan 10 work. Super Stardust at first started up.... but then wanted to install update 6.0 which stopped it from working, I assume this update made it require a newer firmware version. Attempting to re-download these from PSN gives me error 80029780.

Dammit, is there any way to make my purchased games work again?

But didn't people say ReActPSN sets your account on some mode that makes it not work on PSN anymore even with this spoofer? I remember reading about people needing to sing into a different PSN account to get online if they had ReActPSN installed... and would it still work if the spoofer was installed first?

Hi all
I had an old version of Rebug Spoofer on my system.....so I tried to uninstall it before installing this version. After that it froze. I turned off my PS3 and now when I turn it back on I don't get anything showing on my HDMI TV. The power light turns on(on the PS3) but my TV cannot see the PS3 and also the controllers just flash and then turn off.

I have tried holding the power button down to get to the hidden menu to select the "Restore File System". I select this option and it asks me if I am sure. I select yes and then it says please wait........then the TV goes back to a black screen but there is no disk activity or flashing light. I have left it like this for a long time and nothing happens.

.............................HELP................. .................................................. ...

i like to purchase that new doctor who game, but after hearing people have errors downloading content will i have the same problem ? will even play if i downloaded or i assume it requires 4.11 ofw to even play it

guys need help. i installed this thing in the morning, had fun online updating trophies and downloaded sum free dlc. im on kmeaw and slim ps3. right now i wanted to remove the thing so i went to deactivate it, ps3 restarted, then i went to uninstall it with L1 + O but then it gave me a red screen. i waited a few minutes but it dint go away. so i restarted my ps3 and now its just blank, the green power light comes on but nothing on screen. ive tried both hdmi and av cables but no signal, it just sits there dead. please please help me someone

yo, after long time i wanna ask if some1 with 8002a227 error tried PSIDPatch & Chaos Air Bringer 2 log in with banned PS3 since Charles, F*PSN & CTJWTF all need 2 change certificates which aint workin anymore after PSN blackout...

also if there is any volunteer with 2 PS3s can he plz try 2 swap PSIDs of both consoles vice versa so ppl could buy YLOD PS3s 4 PSN at price of TB or less?

was tryin 2 QAflag Rebug 3.55.2 with 0.7 update & end up with black screen

same thing has happened to me.

I'm on kmeaw phat.

Can't find my regular video cable to try out. I'm going to assume it would give the same result you are getting.
Picking up another ps3 Monday but hopefully a fix for this will come along soon.
I was planning on keeping up to date ofw on the one I am picking up but I will probably put cfw on it until this issue is resolved.

Once that happens, I may do a dual boot set up with the newer one.

Don't remove the spoof, it pretty useful you can't accidentally update your ps3 and you can access psn and update your trophies as long this spoof works.

Have you tried reinstalling your firmware from recovery menu? Occasionally I get a black screen using my hdmi cables. What usually fixes it is unplugging my TV and PS3 for about 5 minutes, then plugging them both back in. Usually seems to fix it

Hi all,
after installing the rebug cfw and 4.11 version spoofer I'm experiencing problems downloading some games from PSN. The error code is 80029780. Do I have just to wait the "unlink" of my account, or could be a spoofing problem?

if i re-install a clean version of TB 3.55 dongle cfw v2 and vanilla was installed, then how to downgrade my tb dongle to v2.51 or 2.5 ?

thanx bahamut, i did a recovery menu install of firmware. it worked n ps3 alive. then i updated to ofw 4.11, was tired of waiting for a new cfw and i need to play starhawk bad! anyway, as a btw for anyone interested, i did a restore file system from recovery after that and a rebuild database. now my ps3 runs pretty fast, no more spinning circles when loading thumbnails. AND all the cracked psn games i had downloaded and installed, like section 8, deathspank,flower and many others are still playing perfectly even though im on the new ofw!!! im confused as to how thats possible but im pretty happy

I have a problem when playing Fifa 12, when i try to invite a friend it says that the game session is not available, does anybody also have the same problem and is this possible to fix ?
