PsDev Decrypts Core_OS Files - One Step Closer To CFW3.60?

More news relevant to the recent leak of the OFW 3.60 keys comes to light today. Well known PlayStation developer PsDev has decrypted the Core_OS SELF Files using the 3.60 keys. Many of us are hoping to get a new custom firmware so lets wish him the best of luck!

About 3.60 CORE_OS SELF Files:

The files in the download below are all from the 3.60 Core_OS and I decrypted using the 3.60 keys.

The files that were unselfed were:

aim_spu_module
emer_init
lv1.self
lv2_kernal
manu_info_spu_module
mc_iso_spu_module
me_iso_spu_module
sb_iso_spu_module
sc_iso
spp_verifier
spu_pkg_rvk_verifier

Its because of haters that devs are quitting the scene, the devs are kind enough to release some homebrew, haters bash on them for no rhyme or reason, seriously what is wrong with you guys don't look a gift horse in the mouth if that is the correct placement if not then i apologize, so stop hating and start appreciating the hard work being done over here. Awesome news by the way.

This is real good news
If there soon to be a way to update to a newer CFW is sweet!
I just hope that kmeaw 3.55 jumps to 3.60 I'm all for it.

Sony change the keys for Playstation 3 on OFW 3.56 then again on OFW 3.60 and from there on there was no more news about sony changing on any other OFW , correct me if i'm wrong ... And if this it is true what i'm saying then this discover of the 3.60 keys could lead to CFW 4.20 or 4.21 ...

If it will be like DH 3.56 JFW, I stay with 3.55. But for who has factory 3.60 consoles its good.

I just think that releasing 3.60 keys when the OFW is already 4.22 is just a plain joke.

Some peoples here might actually be correct, maybe E3 does have a way to get the keys with some skilled dev (that doesn't work on gas, but on money, thus E3 sales) and counting on this new downgrade possibility to attract more buyers.

This is what the PS3 scene came to : MONEY MONEY MONEY.

I agree %100 im pretty sure though all the hate is from TB users. why? because they have had something us normal cfw users havnt for a whole year so to them this is no advance. for them this is true but thats what happens when you want everything now now now you become tired of what you have and want more more more but in the ps3 scene you get what you get & have to be patient to get more.

I am glad i waited to get a cfw ps3 till last week.

To my opinion Ps3 will be the most hacked console in history of consoles... And I like it...

I think that that events which will happen in near future and in future altogether are amazing...

This is only good news and progress if it's going to lead to something else.
If you're stuck on 3.60 again I don't see any interest of making a 3.60CFW.

Some chinese dev with capabilities of making some 4.20+ CFW put up some paypal donation system or anything else.
I'll be the first one to donate and support him/them to make this work/progress.

Like I said before, I'd rather pay hard working peoples with talent than greedy companies (especially japanese companies) that baffles our consumers rights.

Well we all have our opinion i wont judge you for thinking the way you do that makes you you. & what you say about

so you see this is what would happen. people would say hey i can do this if you donate. & people would say nah ill just wait till its free, dev makes very lil pay on what lil donations & get critisized & just will leave.

The whole reason devs leave is negative comments & no appreciation, Plus no pay. for very hard work. & lets not forget about sue happy sony.

im pretty sure what is going on right now is the 3.60 keys are a ploy for something much bigger like many have said.

If someone had 3.60 keys, then "them" also have for 4.22.

The public keys werent changed in OFW 3.56. You can decrypt OFW 3.56 with the 3.55 keys. But the private keys changed, so you cant sign it with the same keys. This is why no one made a true 3.56 CFW (i know about DH JFW 3.56, but this firmware has limitation compared to 3.55, as far as i know). I'm not sure that this will change anything with 3.60+.

The public keys were changed in OFW 3.60 indeed, but they have also been changed a few times after this as well.

People keep saying 3.60 is useless.

1st, this got some games that originally could only be played with a TrueBlue dongle that cost money or were not yet available for them even, now just CFW users can use them, that is great.

2nd, just because you're on 4.20 an cannot benefit from this release of keys doesn't mean it's useless, would you be saying that if you were still on 3.60? Hell no, you be having a blast hoping now a new type of way to run unsigned code would come to you.

So in conclusion don't call stuff useless unless it truly is...

well put, devs like you are what makes progress possible no matter how small which in my opinion this is a big step. & i thank you for your work as at the momment all i can do.

Is kinda useless since it adds less than 50 old games, well whom don't have TB should be happy, but keep in mind of those 50, just around 15 are really worth.

This has nothing to do with DEV, it just add some games. CFW 3.55 to 3.60 is pretty much the same as with 3.55 (except those mentioned games above).

Now if keys were 4.20 or up, THAT would be trully something.

better than nothing....an it's nice to see some new set of keys leaked....credit to the one who leaked them.

BUT 3.60 keys really isn't too impressive....only is a big deal to those who were too cheap to even buy a dongle for their piracy.

i mean come on....

if 4.20 or so keys follow suit then that will be a great deal....an could potentially put an end to tb aswell.

i actually would be happy either way....new games patched or new cfw capable of playing new games is a win for me.

Regardless if it's useful or useless to anyone or anybody
Its still Heard work that is Real Good and it show's the sing's of Progress.
It may no't be at top speed that other's wise for it to be at. but Get over it.
And Beside's complaining about this and that about it.
Do your self a favor and release something as cool as this or what ever it maybe and post it in the monthly contest and win your self something.

In no way is that true. There are plenty of consoles that cannot be downgraded to 3.55. It could also help us better understand later firmwares, and could potentially help with creating a 4.2 cfw. While there is absolutely no reason for you to upgrade from 3.55 cfw to 3.6 cfw, it is in no way useless.
