Following my previous article regarding PS4 anti used game DRM
comes another take on the subject. Reading over at kotaku,
yes again, provided a rather interesting read that brought more light to this subject. Sony Worldwide Studios president Shuhei Yoshida
has taken to Twitter and is poking fun at the recent protests against the idea of used game DRM. In his Tweet he uses the acronym #DRMPSVita
which one could decipher as 'Digital Rights Management PS Vita'. However he is Tweeting about Death Ray Manta an upcoming PS Vita release. Shortly after that Shahid Kamal Ahmad,
Sony business development manager, joined in on the fun and Tweeted that DRM is coming to the PS Vita.
With this sort of humor one could imagine that Sony is basking in their supposed victory regarding console wars while enjoying the rumors revolving around their upcoming PlayStation 4 release. Is this a sign that Sony will not enforce such a terrible idea or are we as a consumer been made fun of?
Remember that this is just speculation on my part and that one should wait till an official press release by Sony. I for one do hope that this is not going to be a reality since it would negate many from buying the console.
Whats your thoughts?
This morning, Sony Worldwide Studios president Shuhei Yoshida, one of the few Sony execs who is active on Twitter and hasn't addressed the campaign yet, responded in the best way possible: by trolling everyone.
