Yay! My rant about releasing the source code and everyone being pissed at me has worked! :P Now hopefully someone will pick it up and make it awesome and work great for everyone, not just a handful.

Yeah, it would be great if this anonymous guy would improve the psx emulator. This is great too though. Just saying, please finish one project before doing another.

No disrespect intended, but I really wish people would stop complaining about others peoples work, I think anonymous is doing this maybe in hopes that someone could perhaps pick up where he left off, similar to what posted by fail0verflow stating that they would not work long time on CFW they would provide tools and POC and allow someone else to pick up.

You guys should realize, the devs of these projects owe nothing to the community. This is a hobby for them, they aren't getting paid, so they are free to do as they wish. If a dev wants to stop work on one project and start another that's their decision.

There are still some devs, that don't even share anything with the public. Anytime a dev lets us take a look at their work and even lets us try it out, we should consider ourselves lucky.

This isn't all directed at just you Redeck, but the community in general. You may think your comments are harmless, but I can tell you, the devs do read your comments, and it does sometimes discourage them.

I understand what One2thr456svn and grandy are saying, I understood what you both said before I wrote it. I didn't make that comment to perhaps persuade the anonymous coder to work on it a little more. Like you said, they do what they want.

I do think I'm extremely lucky. I'm not complaining at all, I'm just saying that it would be nice to have such a great piece of work actually work 100%. That's all, half working things are no good to anyone. At least release the code to the public, it's quick, easy, and free. That way, a coder that actually would like to work on the project and make it better can have a point to start. Better we all work together then fall apart.

It's nice to have all these new emulators showing up but it would be great if the source code were released to someone who is interested in the community other than porting one half-assed emu after another. Again, I am appreciative, people are also getting very sick of people saying how when someone makes a constructive comment that 10 others make the comment, "They owe us nothing, I wish people would just stop saying bad things, they're trying their hardest."

We all know they are working very hard, it's their hobby, not their job. Do as they wish, some constructive critism goes a long way if you take it with an open mind.

So yeah, again, it paid off. If they're not going to work on it, please upload the source for others, you could do that while on the can. Helps everyone.

So I guess now "YOU" will now complete the project,..... we are all waiting......If not, I ask do me and anyone else who reads this daily (if not hourly as I do ) a favor "stop crying about others people work" if you are not going to add something constructive to it. I can almost bet my life that "it didn't paid off" by you complaining about it.

I agree completely, the DEVS are working their asses of and for what? Just so that people complain and moan. The devs are doing all this for us FOR FREE!! Why are people complaining? The only time moaning is fine is when pointless stupid stuff gets release, like that 3.55 spoof that helped no one whatsoever. I'm glad that the source for this has been release, now it's just a matter of time before this emulator will be be on par with the pc's epsxe emulator.

I tried downloading one, and when i hit install from pkg folder, it came up with an error! Can anyone guide me on this?

I totally agree!
Even minor updates are very much welcome. And as you said, the spoof updated to 3.55 did make me feel more safe about letting noobs use my PS3.
