@Tthousand true... but think about it like I said and another post... there havent been a cfw out since 3.55 in a while over 6months... I dont think a dev alive would risk putting their neck out for a cfw... Geohot and Failoverflow was trying but Sony squashed them like a bug... like I said from the looks of it Sony will always have the upper-hand advantage (Money, Power)

@darkman ,what the hekk are you talking about ?what risk, what putting their neck out? even a retard could figure out a way to anonymously upload something to the internet, so your point is moot, and someone,anyone smart enough to make a cfw would certainly be smart enough to figure out a way to upload a file anonymously, here i'll give you an example ,put cfw on a flash drive ,put on hoodie and sun glasses ,go to a sony style store ,walk in and use a display vaio laptop(yes the displays have internet access) to create a new gmail, hotmail ,or whatever email account, then make a new psx scene account,ps crunch,pshax ,or p3s hacks, account with the new email account, then release the 3.66 keys or a link to a cfw .there done, and the fact it comes from one of their own machines in one of their own stores ,over thier own paid isp account, would be a nice touch as well, the ultimate slap in the face ,or just use a psp and and any unsecured network and do the same thing ,no way possible to get caught ,even geohot himself could do it and not be found out ,and thats being overly cautious,

first of all no its not, it is totally not all about braggin rights, it HAS BECOME all about bragging rights, and that is the problem, hacking and scenes and devs were never like this before
this is what is ruining this scene ,it should not be about bragging rights ,it should be about helping out the community at large and advancing the scene and giving stuff to others,like other dev,so that they may use your work and build upon it, to come up with bigger and better things, coperation toward a common goal of unlocking the potetial of the hardware is what it is about or should be about ,not fame whoring, and if it is that important to someone, then they could still release anon ,and then release other stuff under the same anon handle,you can still have a rep an a known handle , but why does it have to be able to be linked to your real name and who you are off line and in real life ? it dont, and if your that obcessed you could always just drop subtle hints arround over the course of time to suggest that it is you ,but never enough to provide evidence for someone to prosecute you ,people have become so scared and paranoid that it is ridiculous,the way i see people talk around here its as if they have no grasp on reality, you ,or they can not just base an entire case on hear say and speculation, it wont work ,it will be thrown out without at least SOME evidence , a post in a forum is not evidence and not enough to bring a case ,at least not int he U.S. anyways

The Update is acting stupid! Ive been stuck at 2% for over 20 minutes!My internet speeds are premium.At least i get a percent though, the wii just gives you a blue bar and an annoying noise

@themuse like you said... it shouldn't be but it is... tbh if Geohot and Failoverflow just stayed low none of them wouldn't of gotten sued but their Ego's got the best of them of saying hey... Sony look what I can do with your console... but then again I guess if you do spend countless time hacking a firmware you want to be known.... if not anyone can say that they did it... but the fact of the matter is I dont think that devs are concerned about the public anymore... after all you have to take a look in none of them get any donations for the cfw.. so its like working for free... why work for free... this is why there hasn't been any progress towards the ps3 scene... 1. Devs aren't going to put their hard work out on the net and not be known. 2. They aren't even getting paid for their work.. lastly 3. (The most important reason) it will be yet another cat and mouse game with Sony... I hate to break it to people but look at it this way... 70% of ps3 games we have access to from launch date all the way up to the 3.60 games (except portal 2) just do what I did... and do your favor and get another ps3... Fighting with Sony really wont get anywhere remember them and the developers are what makes the ps3 go round and round not the hackers... Without Sony no ps3 Without Developers no new games get it? For those who dont like ps3 and saying **** Sony.. just hop over to Microsoft with thier flash and Jtagging I heard you can flash and go online.. in my opinion Xbox has ps3 beat because of that reason... Microsoft doesn't care that much... but a business is a business and you cant let people ruin your business I cant agree with everything Sony does but I do appreciate buying a Sony product and playing my ps3 (jail broken and OFW)
