Developer ifcaro has released an update to his PKG viewer/extractor application for Windows PCs. This brings us to PS3 PKGView v1.2, which includes several fixes, as well as other improvements to the program. This can be a very handy tool for those wanting to see what is inside of their PKGs, and has a great set of options as well.

Following up on my previous releases, today a new PS3 PKGView Extractor homebrew application version 1.2 update is available and has been fully tested by catalinnc.

PKGView is a tool for extracting files from PS3 PKG. Tool is 100% legal it contains no code Sony. PKGView also has a graphical interface that simplifies the extraction of both individual files and the complete package.

PS3 PKGView v1.2 Extractor Homebrew Application Version 1.2

FIX: Still failing to extract large files.
FIX: Structure parsing issues.
FIX: Other extraction issues.
More descriptive extraction window.
Optimized extraction of retail pkg.
Now creates an extraction log.

the 1.2 version has been available on spanish sites for about a year now I wonder why it took so long to come to english ones

Well the author just announced it a couple days ago. And a couple months ago, they were still at v1.1, so I am not sure where you are getting your information.

this is useless without the ability to pack the files back up with it

I really love this app! Love it! Love it! Love it!

I wish it could repack, hopefully that would be a bonus in the near future!!!

This is a good tool to use when you have to look with in a pkg.
To see what is being fix or what is being replace with in the pkg file.
I have the older one'.
Happy to see this latest one.
