    Sony is releasing their next official firmware update for the PlayStation 3, version 4.10. One major update is having to agree to their new terms and agreements while changing your PSN account into a SEN (Sony Entertainment Network) account. The other addition to the official firmware, is a long awaited update to the system web browser, which improves the display speed.


    Hi, everyone. We are releasing a new system software update (v4.10) for PlayStation 3 today that will include a few minor changes that we want to make you all aware of.

    First off, once you download the new system software, you will be asked to accept a change to our Terms of Service. In an effort for more unity between PlayStation Network (PSN) and other Sony Entertainment Network services, your “PSN Account” will now be named “Sony Entertainment Network Account.” Please note that this change is one in name only and will not change the PSN that you know and love. You’ll still play games online, still have access to the latest downloadable games and add-ons, and still experience a wide variety of movies, sports and music across PSN.

    With this system software update (v4.10), we’ll also be updating the PS3 Internet Browser with improved display speed.

      here they make the new terms of service seem harmless and nothing to worry about. It's alright, just go ahead and click agree. It's nothing to worry about

      Please note that this change is one in name only and will not change the PSN that you know and love

      We cant play backups on 4.00 yet , not even Homebrew , what do you expect ? Btw lets wait and see till this gets released and see if kakaroto's Jailbreak still work or not "Sure he will test it Right ?"

      Absolutely! I am doing it right now as we speak. Uncharted 4 is great on this new CFW. It even comes with the 360 emulator so I can play Halo 4 right when I finish U4.

      So what do we have with this update?
      1.Sony wants to make everyone intersted in internet-browser , because everyone was upset before that internet-browser working slow. Okey, it is now fast, but the question is: Who will want quick internet-browser and absence of backups and homebrew?--Noone.
      2.Probably with this update sony wants to patch discoveries of Kakaroto? God knows, maybe this is the case, maybe not. Time will tell.
      3. With every new update , we and hacking scene losing chance to have new CFW, for example 4.0 , because it even not discovered what are keys for firmware 3.56, and we have 4.10 firmware already available from sony.
      So situation is not so hopefull.
      But who knows, maybe hackers already have solution, they just wait for sony to release more games, and then , when sony will issue enough----new and unexpected hach will appear like it was with 3.41 ... Who knows... Time will tell.. There is always hope...Lets believe...

      (Sigh) the CFW discussion has gotten very old guys. Why cant we just cut our losses since like Kakaroto said it's impossible to have a cfw above 3.56 lets focous on newer emulators or something the whole playing new games and cfw has gotten old and tiring dont wanna bash people hopes up but lets get real here what has been done since last year besides True blue? Nothing

      I do not want to disapoint or even make people hopeless here. But It is impossible to create a CWF from 3.56 and above. Kakaroto had already explained few days ago and actually proved thai with a good mathematical explanation tha is impossible. The only thing that can actually be done is unssing the keys from the games and sing them again with 3.55 working keys. Team Paradox has actually a particular and very private secret way of doing that. And Team Duplex is also good. I will keep on Kmeaw 3.55 and wait for eboots. Maybe later I will buy a true blue since it seems the best option avalaible at the very momento in order to increase the amount of working CWF games.

      I just updated and the TOS is the old one from December 2011. So if anyone updated to 4.00, then you already agreed to the same TOS as in 4.10, i just wanted to mention that in case someone was wondering

      I would like it if a developer for the scene can find the browser improvements and adapt it to custom firmware. Possible?
