UPDATE: PS3 Game Updates v1.04 has been released, which includes several fixes. The master of the PS3Tools, aldostools, has just released another application, PS3 Game Updates v1.0. The new application that download PS3 game updates, was actually inspired by PS3 Game Updater 1.41. Of course, aldostools has added his own features to his application, like the ability to clearly see which games patches require 3.56+ firmware. There has been plenty more added as well, so be sure to take a look at the information below to find out more.

My new tool... (beta)

I really liked the trueicecold's PS3 Game Updater 1.41, but I wanted a couple of new features... so I made my own "PS3 Game Updates 1.0"...

Features:
-The title id field accepts many formats of title id (eg: title id with/without dash, content id, URL of pkgs, etc). Also supports search game by name.
-The title id field also accepts the path of GAMES or the IP of the PS3 (to scan multiple games).
-Show game patches 3.56+ in a different color (pink).
-Auto-detects game patches already downloaded (search in PS3_UPDATE, PS3_EXTRAS, and in the default download path) and show them in gray.
-Asks for confirmation to download patches 3.56 or higher. Required firmware version is appended to the name of the file (for 3.56+).
-Show game cover and game description even if the game does not have updates.

ps3gameupdates_noinstaller.rar (no installer, just EXE)

Required: MSVBVM50.DLL (not needed if you already use his other tools)

tthousand's notes - Currently, this tool is not working for me (and perhaps I am the only one experiencing the error); I am receiving Error code: '70' - access denied. I have already contacted aldostools about the problem, so feel free to try it out for yourselves and see if you have better luck than I did.

OK it works fine on Win 7 64bit .... but not on my WHS 2011 64bit machine ??? Works ... just no downloads

I have found that the "Verify" Button doesn't always work. After selecting a game, it stays grayed out unless I select the game and press enter. I had to figure that out by trial an error.

It also can't find some games like SINGSTAR.

Please check that you don't have a firewall blocking the program or the port 443 (https)

Could you indicate the title id that is causing the "Verify" button to stay disabled?
I tested checking BCES00051, BCUS98266, BCES00031 (SingStar) and they worked.
However, BCUS98161 (SingStar) doesn't have any XML in the update server.

Edit:
BTW I noticed that the verify button was still disabled if the titled id was pasted in lower case. So I fixed it in the build 1.0.4.

You are sadly misguided. aldostools would never release junk or anything with a virus. It works perfectly. Did you ever consider that you have a problem on your end? If you are experiencing a virus I promise you it's not because of this app. You should also check you have the required dependencies installed.

And yes, I see that dialog box before it disappears too. I'd call it a glitch and nothing more. If you knew anything about aldostools and his history with this scene and with the PCSX emulators you'd never question him or his work. If you don't believe me, poke through his other apps. He's been around for a long time and if he was releasing BS then he would have been called on it long before

Opened ... works fine on my Win 7 64bit machine on the same network, just not the WHS 2011 one??

guys what its is the safe way to to online with psn my friend got banned and i kind scared here ; i run multiman while i am logged off then i log on in the game because i know Sony know you are using jailbreak by you're backup but is that enough ?
hope someone will help me or at least give me some info about this situation

What did he get banned for? Probably cheating right? I've never heard of anyone getting banned just for having CFW and backups. I've used F*ckPSN since .6 last year and the new version when it came back recently and haven't had any problems. It hides your console ID so even if your user account gets banned, your console won't get banned. You can also use PSNinja to hide your history and make it read only. You can find both f*ckpsn and PSNinja in the download section up top

thanks, yeah i asked him he said some dude pissed him off so he told him to f*ck off and suck his d*ck yeah he was only banned for one game
i did think because of the jailbreak because the message he send me was stupid 'i got banned, sony got me'
even tho it's has nothing to do with it, he just a douche and kind deserve it

nice app!
so far i have found that the newest medal of honor requires 3.30 and update is good to go. using f**psn to see if able to play. can someone try this. wont beable to try until after work. shitty external hdd freezes(shot, cant copy or transfer always get error)
also juiced hot import nights,borderlands, crysis 2, dead space 2, dirt 2, and army of two are both good to try as well.
please let me know.

Maybe some of you guys can help me out here...

Back in the day I installed Kmeaw 3.55 with multiman. Now lots of new stuff has been to have come up and I haven't been caught up with it.

If I want to play online with the new games is there a way to do it aside from TB Dongle? Also whats the deal with this ****PSN and spoofer stuff

meal of honor is good just last week i played it online but i had to removed it to put crysis 2 and yeah crysis 2 is good to go too but don't install the update it will give you some error data

well first, all you need to play games is Multiman , some new games you can play like uncharted 3 and Bf3 but most of them like skyrim and mw3 you can't because they have 3.60 keys and the spoof gives you the ability to play games online without having to update but they don't last that long as sony always find a way to stop it
