A new version of PS3 Game Updater by trueicecold is out, version 1.3, which was blessed with lots of new features:

Ability to download ALL updates, and not only the latest one
Optimized FTP Scanning
Download updates by Title ID
Convenient file naming

+ Major changes to the results grid.

+ You can now download all updates of a game, instead of the latest one!

+ Added downloading updates by game id (choose "Search Game ID" from the "Import From" menu)

+ Optimized the ftp lookup. Should be about 20 times faster now.

+ Added a new option in Settings: you can now choose to save the update file in its ogirinal file name, or save it as "[GAMENAME] - Version [VERSION].pkg]" for easier
location and update ordering.

+ Added a "Donate" option in the menu. Please do

+ Fully already downloaded updated will be skipped.

+ Added FTP scan support (Experimental). Switch to "PS3 FTP" from the menu. The application will scan the directory of your choice for the games installed, and return a

list, just like HDD scan. To edit locations of the games folder, edit the settings.ini. Edit "FTPLocations" parameter, each location seperated by a ",". Updates

downloaded through FTP scan will be saved under the "PS3 Game Updater Updates (FTP Scan)" in the aplication directory.

* Note: this process could take a while, depending on the amount of sub-directories of your games directory.

F1 - About
F2 - Settings
Ctrl+Shift+S - Export as csv

It's downloading the updates from the official Sony servers, if you want games to work get KMEAW CFW and use MultiMAN manager

i tryed this and it doesnt seem to boot, it just crashes any ideas.

of course and tried using the compatibility options this isn't my first barbecue the other versions worked this one didn't even have an icon.

compatibility in windows xp sp 2 & 3 in administrator mode

So when i use FileZilla i have no problem getting into the PS3 but when using this i can't seem to get it to work. i go to "import from" chose PS3 then fill out my info just like fileZilla but then path i'm using /dev_hdd0/GAMES cuz i'm using multiMan as my game manager... and that's not an option with this software.... what am i missing?

Works fine here.

I'm going to have to build a new file server with all the PS3 games and updates I've started collecting. RAID 5 with 4 2TB's should work for a bit!

dam this really helped me...i couldnt play my downloaded cod world at war bcz i need the update first (black screen like mw2 without update installed ) btw they are .pkg so u need to install em

so does this update the game for you before you install it on the ps3?. Also for the games that are already on the ps3 you just put the update on a flash drive and install or how does it work?

Time will tell. This is possible on the PS2 now.

The biggest hurdle is me trying to convince the wife that we "NEED" more storage space.

Like the poster mentioned before you, these are PKG files which means they must be installed. This app does NOT install the updates for you nor does it "PATCH" existing games on the PS3 or your PC.
