Since I acquired MY PS3 from another source other than a retail store, I declare that the hardware and anything contain within IS RIGHTFULLY MINE and is not owned by anyone else other than ME, so $ony you can suck it because I will do what I damn well please with MY hardware.

This battle has been won in the US court system with the case of George Hotz Vs. Apple, so legally this system and whatever else contained within IS MINE. Send your stupid lawyers or whomever you wish, I refuse to ever change my software configuration and re-render this hardware worthless again. I own it and there isn't a damn thing you can do about it.

After this, I feel I am about to join thousands of others and begin pirating the games that are made available to this system since you have pushed and bullied your consumers into these circumstances. If anything I have said here is incorrect, please correct me. But I know I am legally allowed to "jailbreak" my hardware and do with as I please.

I wouldn't say pointless, its fairly vital to the PS vita's functionality. But i think they wouldnt have changed much in the way of security, so KaKaRoTo's hack should still apply, might just need a few minor adaptations.

Gotta agree with both of you. I'm really surprised this comes as a shock to anyone seeing as the PS3 and PSP always had connectivity between the consoles so why should it be any different for the Vita? I doubt there were very many security changes seeing as for the most part we've been at a stand still since the 3.60 keys were implemented. I don't know what the story is behind KaKaRoTo's leaked CFW but I would have to say to put it on lock down until the Vita hits the US Shelves so Sony doesn't have any time to render it useless. From what I hear it's supposed to be unstoppable as far as Sony updating firmware, but given enough time and money you can do just about anything and that's something Sony has in abundance.

It wasnt leaked apparently, someone worked out a part of the exploit but didnt explain how he attained the knowledge, so he assumed it was leaked. all is good however, and will be released in due time.

I think the only thing i kind of miss is Black Ops online, But if i really want that i would just buy a used PS3 and play

In my eyes i try to support the things i like, There are many games i have that i have yet to even take out of the rapper As i have them on my HDD but i still went out and got a copy. But then again there are them some what fun games that are nice to play every now and then...BUT!! ant no F'ing way i am paying 60$ for low quality games

i am with you on that one i have a hole heap of games and not 3/4 any good no wonder why people pirate honestly the gaming these days focus on graphics
where is the game play like the old psx titles and the old n64 i miss them days speakin of n64 how is the emulator goin for the ps3 or has it been forgoten

Actually that battle you are on about against apple made it legal to hack mobile phones specifically.

Son't get me wrong I agree with you, but you should do more research before starting a rant.

Also since this makes the PS3 ready for the Vita, it actually isn't a useless update so that picture is a silly one to use,

A game that runs on the PS3 won't automatically work on a PSP or Vita it needs some changes. What makes you think it would?

I mean like PS1 classics, why should I have REDOWNLOAD them when THEY ARE ALREADY ON THE SYSTEM, they removed (i think) the button to copy them to the PSP. You have to NOW redownload them and copy that way, more hassle.
