  • PS3 Cheat Enabler v1.4.1 Released

Today I (Blazie151) am finally releasing the much awaited version 1.4.1 of my PS3 Cheat Enabler application. It features some huge code improvements that boost performance, a few bug fixes, XP support (could still be buggy do to lack of enough testers), and greatly improved game compatibility. I'm also including a new version of the cheat database with it, which has some new games and additional cheats for games that were already supported.

There was an error in the v1.4 release. Version 1.4.1 has a fix for this bug. The bug was a problem with pkg creation that went unnoticed in testing. Apparently I need some new testers, because it was a pretty big bug. Anyways, the link below now directs to the newly created and fixed v1.4.1. Sorry for the inconvenience.

    Attachment 1187

    Download here.

    New features in this release:
    - SFO creation and patching is all done within this application now, instead of calling out to another application to do it. It's now creating a new param.sfo from scratch, using any pertinent values from the original param that it can. By doing it this way it's fixing a ton of current compatibility issues (like with Star Ocean and Ninja Gaiden 2). It's not using a generic value for certain things like resolution and sound format either, so it should clear up a lot of issues there and make it virtually future proof.
    - New version of unself included. This version is capable of creating elfs from already modified bins made with make_self. This will cut down on "Error creating elf" errors greatly.
    - Key folder fixes. Now, you have 4 folders to choose from to place your keys, and they will be copied to the folder they should remain at during the first run. Choices are [userprofile]\.ps3, [userprofile]\ps3keys, [applicationfolder]\.ps3, and [applicationfolder]\ps3keys. This information is shown when the application launches if none are found, and displays the exact folders for your individual computer.
    - Eboot fixing is now supported within this application. This means that eboots made for firmwares newer than 3.41 or 3.55 can be patched during creation instead of having A LOT on manual work needed after creation. Eboot patched for 3.41 work perfect for 3.55. At this time there is still no support for eboot fixing of 3.60 games do to the keys not being released yet.
    - Performance enhancements. I optimized thousands of lines of code, making the application run much faster.
    - Status bug fix. Status was not displayed until the process was finished. Status is now shown in real time.
    - Various other small bug fixes.
    - XP compatibility (Still not 100% tested, working perfectly on 2 testers' PCs). There seemed to be a permissions error when using XP and trying to delete certain temp files. This issue was caused by the .NET framework. I solved this by ignoring errors when attempting to delete certain problem files. Make sure you manually clean out any leftover files from your output directory when using XP.

    To do:
    - Listen to some peers and get ideas on what else this application could use.
    - Add tabs for other functions this application could have that would help streamline creating cheat eboots (such as update pkg extraction and firmware fixes for other files besides the eboot.bin)

    __________________________________________________ __________________

This application requires a set of decryption keys to unself the EBOOT.BIN file. All you have to do is download the ps3 keys and place them in one of the supported folders. The list of supported folders will be shown to you when the application initially runs. If no popup message appears showing you which folders are supported, then you already had the key folder. It's default and actual usage location is C:\Users\[YourUserName]\.ps3

    PS3 decryption keys download here.

I really wish I could add Call of Duty. The problem is that the codes for Call of Duty aren't released, and from I've heard the only cheat that can be added to the eboot without needing some other patched files (such as a patched common_zombies.ff) is noclip.

You must not be a rpg gamer, lol. Inf health in fighting games or fps games is lame, reducing the grind on a replay of a rpg is another story. Some RPG games have such ridiculous grinds it takes the fun away from the game. Also, for re-playablility, cheating adds new depth to the game. It lets you lazily play and do what you want, without struggling for certain things.

      Really? Works for me!

For me, I really love cheats in games. I don't play online, so don't care about that facet of gaming, and I can't be bothered playing through an entire game. Cheats allow me to enjoy more of the game in a compressed amount of time.

      CHEATS ROCK!

P.S. Call me stupid, but how can you create a directory name ".ps3". My windows XP install whines about it.

You have to make it in command prompt, or move the folder over from an already created folder in a zip file. If you place the keys in a folder named ps3keys it will create the folder and copy the keys over for you automatically when it's ran.

Please be clearer. Is it not making the eboot and pkg file, or are you not able to see the cheats effective in the game? For RE5, do you have anything installed for it (like patches, updates, or DLC), because if you do you might have to uninstall it for the cheats to work. They may work with it though if you create a GD pkg.

Are they directly in C:\Users\[username]\.ps3 or in a subfolder? They can't be inside another subfolder. Also, make sure your not trying to modify a npdrm eboot, since it won't work. If you can send me a PM with your MSN id I'll add you and we can figure out what's not working properly for you, since any issue your having I'm sure someone else is also having.

If you make a GD pkg and install it, then don't want the cheats effective anymore you simply uninstall the pkg. Very simple. You'd only be modifying the eboot stored in the game folder on your internal hard drive.

      The downfall with PS3 User Cheat is threefold;
1 - They stole their dongle from Codefreak, as well as their codes and the codes from codemasters-project.net
2 - They do not currently work on 3.55, while this does
3 - They cost money, this is free.

read this on ps3usercheats makers etc....

"Today, ps3usercheat has updated their database with the new Marvel v Capcom 3 code I was talking about. I'd like to point out that while Codefreak is a respectable device with a team that makes their own codes for their customers. Ps3usercheat is not respectable in the least. They have stolen Codefreak's design as well as the code patterns from codemasters-project.net. They do no work themselves and are making money off of others hard work.

Since ps3usercheat's inception they have been stealing the codes from codemasters-project.net. They continue to do so. The hackers there are thinking of quitting altogether to starve ps3usercheat's team of codes they can steal. The hackers who do this for free want only one thing. Credit for their work. They hack so everyone can use these codes for their personal use. They do not care if everyone in the world uses their work, as long as ppl know where it come from.

You guys can do this yourself without buying their cheap rip off. There are three things you need and they are packaged separately to keep sony from breathing down anyone's neck.

You need ps3tools which ppl might already be familiar with, ps3keys which can be googled, and cmp auto tools which can be found at
      Codemasters Project

You can also find a video tutorial there on making packages. The latest version of cmp auto tools will let you make GD packages which are like game update patches. This offers better compatability with games.

If you're not technically inclined, you can request packages there also. We will try to get them made. As of right now, some code patterns will remain hidden to try and delay them from being stolen. But there will still be packages made with them that will be available for download."
rep to bruticus0 for the above...

ps3usercheat and apparently a few others are code thief's just looked into it a little deeper all the team ask for is credit ! ... theirs a lot more on this too ... ps3usercheat makes how much off each dongle???? look at the banner above this entry .... they aint just cheating in games(which i agree with offline only) there cheating us out of regular cheats codes because the true authors of the code are sick of the lack of rep points knowing someones making money out of them they hold off releasing new cheats or large volumes of cheats ...they're even thinking about quitting .,, i cant find it within myself to support the people who "created" that device Ps3usercheat..

Thank you for posting that, it's useful info here. Like you said, all the authors ask for is credit. All I was asked to do was add CMP in the about of the PS3 Cheat Enabler, which I happily did. But because these other companies are thieving their work and not even giving credit back, the hackers that dev the codes aren't releasing codes that could otherwise be in this application for free.

Wow, seriously, your demented. For starters, 100 hours of grinding in a rpg for useless coin and miniscule exp is annoying (especially when you don't that kinda time to spend on a freaking game). I understand that, which is why I don't feel it's such a terrible thing to cheat with certain things on certain games, even if I don't really use it myself. Second, I almost never pick up a video game anymore because with my wife, kids, hobbies, and job, I have very little free time. Third, I've cheated on like 3 games in my life (dating back to using whistles in Mario Bros 3, which I'm counting in that 3), and that was after beating them the first time without cheating.

Personally, I play every game with the difficulty maxed out to the highest because I have yet to find a game that is actually hard enough to provide a real challenge outside of un-lockable extra difficulties and stupid challenge sh*t. As far as whether cheating has a place on this console, it's coming to this system the same as it has to every system before it; if you don't like it, don't use it. Needless input here attempting to personally bash me for creating an easier way for users to use existing cheats is even more useless than the hoards of illiterate and demanding assh*les that beg for 3.60 cfw every day.

You also can't read, or else you'd have seen remarks I've made such as the one below on every thread dealing with cheating.

It's pretty obvious from many of the statements I've wrote that I don't personally enjoy taking the challenge out of a game. Directly opposite, I feel most games aren't challenging enough, and the few that are should allow you to choose those harder difficulties to start with, instead of making you beat the game 3 times to unlock the difficulties that are finally challenging.

Make sure if you have any updates, patches, or DLC installed your using the Cheat Enabler correctly. You need to make a GD package, preferably with the same contentID as the installed content.

Does anyone here know how people make these codes as ild like to give that a try because there are still many games with no codes for them.

      Such as

      Assassins creed brotherhood
      Metal Gear Solid 4
      Grand Theft Auto 4,s
      Red Dead Redemption

and others if i knew how they where able to find such memory addresses on the playstation 3 that would be good cause then i could look for myself instead of waiting for someone else to make the codes
