First it seemed as if it was just a rumor or perhaps fake. But euss has confirmed that they are indeed real. The day I'm sure all of you have been waiting for. The release of some PlayStation 3 keys (lv1ldr, lv2ldr, isoldr, appldr) have been leaked to the masses allowing you to patch 65 additional games. You will need a few tools in order to patch the SFO of your games. Or not. Word is Rogero says a new custom firmware will be made available. So those of you who don't want to decrypt and encrypt files should just wait a little longer.

A: That is actually a multiparted answer:

Now that several binairies (Iso module + CoreOS minus the loaders that are inside lv0) can be decrypted, more investigation can be done in them, which give a new boost in (unrelated to the HeN) other targets, like:

Hardwareless downgrades : Downgrading with PSgrade Dongle (lv1.self)
QA Flagging / systemtokens (spu_token_processor.self) and usertokens (spu_utoken_processor.self)
PS2 compatibility (mc_iso_spu_module.self , me_iso_for_ps2emu.self , sv_iso_for_ps2emu.self)
Getting per_console_root_key_1 / EID_root_key on 3.56+/slim3K (lv1.self , aim_spu_module.self)
Backsigning applications for <=3.55 and patch sys_proc_param_version (appldr.self , lv2_kernel.self)

Q: So does this mean a future release would be sooner?

But it can also be that because of the above, it would become meaningless/surpassed by better progress. So lets all hope for the best

I will be adding to this article as I learn more. Just wanted to rush this news to you asap.

UPDATE: Use Deank's EBOOT Fix Tool 0.5 to convert the EBOOTS for you. Just download the keys add them to EBOOT Fix Tool's ps3 folder. (Download below includes the keys, so no need to download them unless using other methods)

Have in mind that some games (like Sniper Ghost Warrior) have additional .self/.sprx files and it is better to use ebootFIX by dragging the PS3_GAME folder to it - it will find and fix all necessary files. If you use ebootMOD you'll have to search for these files yourself and 'fix' them one by one.

UPDATE 2: Another Method

Use SCETool to Decrypt a PS3 3.60 EBOOT.BIN File:
For those of you who want to decrypt a 3.60 EBOOT.BIN use scetool. Download scetool_0.2.7.zip unzip it to C:\scetool. Create a new folder inside scetool and name it data and download these files here:

keys: ps3devwiki.com/files/devtools/scetool/data/keys
ldr_curves: ps3devwiki.com/files/devtools/scetool/data/ldr_curves
vsh_curves: ps3devwiki.com/files/devtools/scetool/data/vsh_curves

Put them inside data folder. Put your EBOOT.BIN file in scetool folder. Go to start - run - cmd and cd to the folder were scetool is. For example "cd C:\scetool". Then type this command to decrypt the EBOOT.BIN: "scetool -d EBOOT.BIN EBOOT.ELF" and use this one to encrypt it to 3.41: C:\scetool>scetool -0=SELF -5=APP -6=0003004100000000 -e EBOOT.elf EBOOT.BIN

What's next the 3.70 keys, lol. Most of these if not all work with my true blue dongle. Great release for those without dongle tho.

When you drag and drop the Game ID folder onto the ebootfix.exe it will make 2 folders when it's finished. Open the Retail folder and copy all into the Original PS3_GAME folder and over write all. Or transfer USB/FTP. multiMan EBOOT FIX redoes the PARAM.SFO automatically. It make's it 3.40 so that 3.41 user can benefit too.

does the same work for game updates? i figure whatever the game update folder name is, i could rename it PS3_GAME. Or, could i use the USRDIR? The folder has that definitely.

idk why i'm having so many troubles. i'm gonna guess it's gotta do with the infamous 2 1.04 patch. that's pretty much all i want fixed.

If you get the EBOOT.BIN to actually get fixed with out erring out. Use PBP Unpacker to change the PARAM.SFO.

What I would do if you got it fixed is install the Update that way PS3 knows it's there. Take your edited files and copy them to your "Game" Update folder.

it seems to always mess up on make_self_npdrm.exe. It also mentions something quickly about not finding a specified file but it flashes too quickly for me to catch exactly what it says.

could i maybe pm you a folder and see if you can fix it so i can once and for all see if it's me or the game? also, i could be missing something. i need .net framework 4.0 for some files and at least 3.5 for others.

so maybe there's something already installed that people are overlooking that are having everything go smooth. I keep reading something about cygwin, but i don't think that's it...

Im sure it will be that whinny ass Math he'll try and take more credit for something he didn't do , i remember over a year ago he did a 3.60 spoof and tried to get everyone to believe he had the 3.60 keys , im glad he left the scene with his tail between his legs the only thing he was good for was a laugh.

Right click in the ebootfix folder make a new txt file. Rename it what ever name - batch.bat. Right click that file and select Edit.
In notepad paste

ebootfix.exe "X:\FOLDER\PATH\TO\THE\GAME\GAMEID">log.txt

Double click batch.bat file. Creates a log

If there is any spaces to your path, You must leave the " " in the statment. Example: "C:\USERS\Chris Rock\My Documents\Eboot Fix\BCUS98125"

Edit: Yes, the make self errors out.

damn, i really wish it was something i was doing. any idea why? it adds move support and i guess little fixes here and there.

i wonder if the psn version has any updates. i'm tempted to try one update at a time, but i don't wanna be disappointed to learn once Move was added, that's when it is messing up...

oh and, does your make_self_npdrm mess up? i am pretty sure that doesn't effect retail, but idk if something tries to run after it that could maybe effect it. i'm gonna go with not since you're having the same errors...

idk, i'm sure i'll try portal 2 sometime and hopefully i shouldn't have errors.

Agree, this guy was a joke.
The real ones don't take credit, they hide in the dark.

On the front of the scene you have those low life losers that take credit for things they don't even understand.
They know the real devs won't step forward to say "stop, this is my work" since they wanna stay anonymous, so they take advantage of this situation.

The PS3 scene is filled with cry babies and attention whores.
The more we move forward, the more the scenes are filled with naruto generation kids.

There is something wrong with some eboot patches

I tried WRC2 with TB (JBK 2.7) it worked but when I tried with kmeaw gives 8001003c.I think some of maybe TB Patch.

i'm pretty sure i've got a 3.55 encrypted self. so, if anyone can help me turn it to a bin, that'd be great. every program i run, points to it being 3.55. i just have troubles with that last step. quakes69 seems to be at the same point as me, we just seemed to take different steps.
it looks like he used ps3tools, whereas i used scetools. i'm not sure if that matters, but with deank and stuff, i don't think i could get as far as i got with scetools.
anyways, virtual high five if someone wants to take a shot. i just seem to not be able to find any make_fself, or anything to turn a self to a bin that is still up.

are self files the same as bins? i'm guessing not, or they'd be called bins, but no one answered me earlier. a lot of things telling me that will convert self files to bins, or elfs to selfs to bins, or elfs to bins, always seems to just output a self file, that's why i ask.

i'm so determined to get this to work. it sucks, cause someone just jumped on the ps3, so i'm gonna get some files together to hopefully be able to test in a few hours.

i smell above 3.6 keys well be kept in that dark while the masses enjoy this then.....
new super improve.. dongle keys will appear. that can play games above 3.60 decrypted eboots.. lolz..too bad no more cfw for me =( im in 4.20 .. maybe ill just sit for a while until the latest key surfaces
