Product Release - PlayStation 3D Display and Universal PlayStation 3D Glasses

I am not into the whole 3D explosion that happened recently, but i have to say that SimulView thing might be interesting when games supporting it comes out... 2 players on the same couch using 1 TV each player gets his own full screen! that can open a lot of doors for game developing.

I'm with botoo2 about wanting to see the SimulView in action. Might have to take a trip to Best Buy to see if they have a display up yet. As for Shrek, nobody cares how you spend your money and I don't know what you've hacked, because I've never heard of you. You wouldn't be able to MODIFY anything if it wasn't for Sony. I don't like some of their practices but give credit where credit is due or keep your comments to yourself. This is a cool product

24 inch is too small. the minimum LCD should be 32 inch

I'm sure that if this takes off, then there will be larger screens and custom colors for the glasses. I think this is just going to be a test run to see if there is interest in it

@jzr007, I believe this is meant for smaller areas, like a computer room or a bedroom. With no remote, they expect you to turn it on and toggle the channels by hand every time.@JDMAlex, I suppose other manufacturers glasses my work with it. But as far as I know, only black for now.

Yeah, this would probably be great for dorm rooms or children's rooms. Let's hope they do release something bigger for the rest of us

I would not mind having one next to my computer. And I could have my extra PS3 and 360 hooked up to it. Seems cool, I hope it is on sale Black Friday! Traditionally "video game displays" have been small, so I would not expect to see a bigger model too soon, unless the people really want it.

3D glasses? No thank you. All this 3D technology that requires glasses is crap. I already wear eyeglasses because i can't see without them. I can't wear a second pair over the first so i can watch 3D because its bothering me, plus i get dizzy over time.

Shrek probably thinks that putting a USB flash drive in to his console and installing someone else's CFW makes him a hacker. You'd be surprised at how many people think that.

Thing his that Sony won't even notice a drop in sales if everyone in the scene stopped buying their products so it is literally pointless to do. They make very good hardware, so since a boycott will do literally nothing, I will purchase good hardware.

But as for this display it is too small for me personall I'd only really use it as a PC monitor. It is good for kids and students though.

It's good someone understands what I said. On top of that it seems every one of the threads gets way off track lately and I was trying to stop it before it started. If you don't believe me, then scroll through the thread about Math and Metldr at http://psx-scene.com/forums/content/...wn-group-1656/. Yes he has every right to express his opinion, but what he said just seemed like a rant, not an opinion. You get your point across a lot better without getting all worked up. If I offended you or anyone else, I apologize but I feel those kind of comments are counterproductive. That's an opinion. Back on topic: I was starting to think that this would actually make a good replacement for my PC monitor. It would be a lot easier having my PS3 at my computer desk any way for transferring files over FTP. I'm using a wireless router with 3 other connected devices and the transfer rates suck, so a cabled connection would be better.

No, that is what I meant to say ",which should work will all types of 3D displays". I was saying that the glasses should work with all other IR emitters and 3D displays.

and only 2 hdmi!??! seriously!? where is the Digital Port? and DVI or RGB computer input? lacking features in almost every area! this is definately a product that I will never give a second look! Sony tvs suck anyway! over 20+ models of sony tvs have problems with HDMI and Playstation 3!

Spend your money more wisely and get a superior product from either samsung or LG! or if you want to cheap out.. go to walmart and buy a cheaper one still!

This is more as a monitor if i'm not mistaken, it is not a TV. That is probably why it is 24" and not 32". But this is mainly a product for people who want a 3D display for a competitive price.

Which models have problems with PS3 and HDMI by the way? And what type of problem is it?
