I would rather have a major Showtime update (Very buggy), squarepusher snes, fabnext etc. updates and a possible N64 emu. 4GB+ working on external for those who have external. Linux with RSX driver and a direct boot option for Linux and Game OS. Linux with full back up compatibility.

I don't quite understand how wanting to make money for his work makes him a disgrace. He won't make money unless he releases the keys to those that buy his product. And if he releases it to them, then sooner or later, someone will figure out what he did, and release them to everyone else. Either way, everyone wins.

I don't understand why people expect hackers to work for free. It is great when they do, but why would you ever complain that he wants to make a profit (or at least pay for his expenses) after months of working on it?

I would expect a forum moderator to be a bit more professional and respectful, especially to devs. If people like you are the staff there won't be developers here for much longer. You guys are gonna piss off the devs and none of them will ever release anything here.

I was talking to 'No_one' last night and he said he was just working on the nor switcher, he would let others figure out how to find the keys.

I thought this was a dual firmware devices, not an attempt to get the newer keys.

If someone figures out how to decrypt PSN titles, the act.dat, and newer games, this would be worth it. Think PSP where all the newer games STILL run on 5.00 M33-6 since nothings really been added since. If I could edit my act.dat file, that would change everything. Heck, right now I'd just love to read the thing unencrypted.

Are you that retarded that you can't understand the concept of a vacation being planned months prior to the actual date? Most people have their vacation planned months in advance of the actual dates they are gonna go. So why the hell would they STOP just for a release on the internet? Seriously you must be a kid. An adult would be able to understand this concept.

You need to stop acting like your entitled to everything. This project will be released when it's finished. So until it's done, chill the hell out. Otherwise by all means, release your own version. Jesus the kids on this site are becoming more and more self entitled as the days go on. They expect everything to be released when they want it to be released. But the developers don't do these projects for you or me. They do it because they enjoy developing software and hardware for this device. It's a hobby. It's not a job. Which means that they will not be working on this hobby 24/7. People do have lives, and they should be able to enjoy a vacation without some punk kid demanding for a release.

Once the private keys are obtained it will more than likely be a cfw or dongle method used to jailbreak 3.60+ (and id lean towards dongle based as im sure there firmware version checks in place on the newer firmwares which would mean the exploit would have to be done on boot, sure you can run unsigned apps with the private keys but its a lot more difficult to change syscalls etc).Basically the guy has let you know that he is well on the way to sorting everything you want out and all you do is bitch about him going on vacation? seriously this forum has gone down the crapper ever since kmeaws first CFW came out and all the little idiots started installing it! 99% of people on this forum these days only want to pirate, the devs get shit on by the admins and this post will last 40 seconds before i get a ban/censored. either way venting over!

Actually it's more than likely gonna be a CFW and not a dongle. Besides cobra, dongles are obsolete. As you can accomplish way more on the actual firmware side than you can via a dongle. It's easier to patch out the checks than to try and interface everything through a dongle payload. So no you won't see anything with a dongle. It will most likely be via a new CFW if anything. Cobra are the only ones interested in dongles so far. CFW is the main way to exploit things.

It's way easier to do things via a CFW than a dongle. Plus you can do more. Having a CFW means you don't have to rely on hardware, plus it wouldn't be hard modifying the CFW completely to allow new things. A dongle would be harder. Probably the only hardware that will be used going forward is a dual nand/nor. Which would allow way more flexibility coupled with a CFW. With a CFW you can modify a lot more than you can do with a dongle. You can replace entire sections of the firmware. Such as mixing and matching CoreOS and other things. As long as you patch out the checks. Everything that can be done with a dongle can be done via CFW, plus more. I believe Cobra used a dongle so they could make it more secure. So they could protect against clones. As it's easier to rip a CFW apart and replicate it, compared to a dongle. Considering people aren't really interested in reverse engineering a dongle now a days. Well one person is but that's about it. As for the bitching on vacations, I completely agree.

But I do have one question, why does piracy have anything to do with it? People will pirate no matter what. Anything we do won't change that fact. So I don't think piracy has anything to do with what is happening on these forums lately. But it does have everything to do with self entitled punk ass kids.

I can't see how the keys will lead to a jailbreak either as they are not the private keys.

I'm guessing this will allow just allow us to decrypt things complied for 3.60, and then we can edit and resign using the private keys for 3.55 ect.

So the end result looks to me more like a solution to get the newest games to work on 3.55 CFW.

even if that's all we get (which prolly not just that) i think many would be satisfied....
