Developer corwin75 released PARAM Edit, a tool used to modify your PS3 saves. Currently, it appears the application is only in French, but with only a few commands, it should not be to hard to translate it via Google Translate. Take a look at the official announcement below to see what a great tool this is, and why you should keep an eye on it.

Hello.
It's complicated you change your ps3 saves by lack of knowledge or you have simply no hex editor? The solution is very simple. PARAM Edit is a small program that I just create to modify your saves in several areas:
- Modify the protection of saves (lock / unlock copies)
- Make compatibility saves with your account
- Modify the saves details
- Change the title of the saves
- Edit sub-title of the saves

Sources are being modified to be especially easy to read and understand each operation.

EXPLANATION:
For compatibility. You need a save to make it compatible with a game and a save from your account with the same game.

is this only for jailbreak ps3s? or legit 4.11 as well?

I would assume some of the functions would work with 4.11 save files as well.

saves a lot of time!

And since it's a .Net app, it seems it can be easily translated using a hex editor, however I'm not sure Corwin75 will like it

You know this is freaking awesome. I got sick and tired of other manual methods to do these things and found it a bit tedious to say the least. I'm so happy something like this has been released as it will save a lot of time and trouble. Too bad where it originated as it's a bit above par for that site (last app I saw released over there did nothing, but produce "beeping" noises and users who spoke badly about the pointless two-minute-to-code app got banned). Anywhore, good work! God Bless and I doubt editing the names to whatever language you desire would tick the author off, but don't quote me on it.

download the latest version from post #40 and follow the instructions from post #47
i have tested it on gran turismo 5 and it works

ok, can anyone confirm it works? i mean, i would love a very simple save editor, as i have wiped my ps3 sooo many times!

Hey guys,

I tried modifying Arkham City with no luck.
I got "data corrupted" message.
Any ideas?
Is it because i am on OFW?

Rebug or QA flagging is easyer than this. Fake data ownership.

I don't see how installing another CFW or QA flagging is easier when with this all you have to do is load the file then click one button...

Just in case someone is interested... I have updated my PARAM SFO Editor 1.2. The update has a better support for SAVE DATA param.sfo's and PSP param.sfo too.

1- Rebug 3.55 has debug options to Fake Save Data Owernership, meaning no program to run it through, it enables Debug menus and can be installed over or changed back to any other firware just by putting it on a usb stick
2- QA Flagging- does the same thing but can be done on a lower firmware, but updating to a different firmware wont disable it

Fake Data Ownership means you can put any save on a usb stick and load it up.
so you think that every time you wont a save game thats not yours, you gotta run it through this program. even if it is on click.
putting a CFW is like two clicks, and changng debug menus is childs play to. permenetly fixing the "problem".
much more of a solution if you ask me.
unless this has feature like modio does for the xbox, this is useless to me.

It should be possible with the current version. All you have to do is open one the PARAM.SFO of one of your own PS3 Saves, copy the value found in "Account ID", then open the PARAM.SFO from another user and paste/replace the value in "Account ID". Press Ctrl+S to save.

I do not have a modified/cfw PS3. If I did, I would not have any idea how to install REBUG "over" kmeaw 3.55, how to use it, what to edit and I don't even know what a QA flag is (I see it and think Quality Assistance). So yeah, this program is great for me.

oh yes, just search QA Flagging, its not so easy tho it requires upgrading and downgrading if i can remember right, i would suggjest installing rebug 3.55, then installing 3.55.2 update, then you need to get a Debug menu switcher, and switch to the second debug menu.
after that the "Fake Data Ownership is in the debug menu under your internet settings icon in settings colum.
i would post links but rebug asks specifically for people not to however i can link you to there site, i hope everyone that reads this post does this instead, its a permanent solution to what we thought was a permanent problem

ive been using it for like 3 or 4 mounths now:P i like downloading all my favorite savefiles and using them no problem what so ever.

If you installed kmeaw than you can install rebug. It's exactly the same, don't act so helpless dude this stuff is "child's play"
And you can even uninstall it the same way if you don't like it!!!!!!!!!

Bam starts the install of the firmware. this is the same procedure as installing Rebug (or uninstalling)

thats pretty vague what save file are you reffering to? any save file to any other save file save? or does it have to be the same game?
and if it were the same save it would get confusing as to whitch one is yours and then on top of that you have to copy a " Value in " AcountID " "And IF i was as usless as that other guy " i dont even know what a QA flag is " And i woulndnt know how to install a "CFW" *in a hillbilly voice*" thats MAGIC or somfin" (but i go to psx scene for all my latest ps3 hack and "save modifers" How would a "completely helpless guy like me sapost to understand something as vague as that?

AND IF YOU DONT HAVE 3.55 CFW INSTALLED I SUGGJEST YOU RETHINK WHAT YOUR DOING! GOING ON PSN WITH ANY KIND OF MODIFICATION, (EVEN A MODIFIED SAVE) THEY CAN SEE IT!
the only reason i say this is because before psn was unreachable from CFW PS3 i was in PSHome with F**KPSN, and looking through the rist watch thing i could see my install of MULTIMAN and any other homebrew i had on the xmb(meaning thy have access to your files) so modifing them with new firmware could get you BANNED or maybe even worse.
(just remember geohot or anyone else how got sued by sony for "modifiying" there system)
Has anyone read the new Terms of service before you told everyone this was ok? Especially after the whole ps3 getting unlocked I'm sure they included something to it that says something like "You agree to..... Not tamper with ps3 file system in anyway...." that's what I would do. Just so if you do I can sue you for a ridiculous amount of money.
