  • OpenPS3FTP v1.1 Released - Open Source PS3 FTP Server

    A new FTP program has arrived on the PS3, and this time it's open source. This FTP app, developed by jjolano, is aptly titled OpenPs3FTP v1.1. When connecting via FTP with the app, use your PS3's IP address, and the username/password combination of root/openbox.

    This is my first program in C (I'm new to C, but I have coded in other languages), and also my first homebrew.

    Default username: root
    Default password: openbox

    Credit to PSL1GHT, geohot, and stoneMcClane for tools and code

    Suggestions and/or fixes are welcome.

      always happy to help for benefit of psgroove. LONG LIVE PSGROOVE! :P...btw this app is much better than blackbox

      **edit** This app is not perfect, like it is smoother n all but it doesn't show the ip address of the ps3, and if some1 has dynamic ip(like me)..it becomes a problem! other than dat, its great!

      look on the bright side...blackbox was the first to take out this ftp thing...so they will always be remembered for that

      Yes works, at least for me.

      You need to use the version for firmware 3.55

      What is the point of forcing users to enter a name/password to connect, when it is not needed. Why complicate things?

      What does it mean by open source?
      Does that mean dev's can modify it?

      lol, when I first saw that I only watched the first 5 seconds, before anything disgusting happened and then I almost puked, so I have never seen more than 5 seconds of that sick vid :S
