NORway v0.3 Released! NORway Teensy++ 2.0 Flasher Software

PSX-SCENE developer judges has updated his wonderful NOR flashing software for the Teensy++ 2.0 boards, which brings us to NORway v0.3, now with faster dumping and writing times. Again, this program allows for the dumping and flashing of NOR-based consoles. NORway

This project has been ported for the Teensy++ 2.0 from the original NOR flasher tool (“noralizer” by “marcan”) that was used to flash AsbestOS onto the demo PS3 at 27C3, and for experimentation.

Changes since v0.2:

Dumping now only takes 45 secs instead of over 5 mins!
Writing now only takes about 8.5 mins instead of over 2 hours!

Changes since v0.1:

Documentation updated to include the required 3.3V voltage regulator!
Teensy clock rate changed to 8 MHz!

A regular user can only hope that an advanced user will find something usefull for them to use with this.

Basically, not useful for the regular guys. But for devs and hackers interested in doing new things with there systems can use new tools like these to help them along the way.

But soon, there could be user-frienly guides on how to use this product to downgrade your 3.56+ PS3 consoles.

maybe in the future it would be possible to buy a nand-clip separate (ala wii-clip) for easy installation, like what progskeet offers.

Butthurt much?

The teensy also only does the PS3s NOR - it doesn't do NAND or any other device.

Each to their own. Impressive speed increase though.

Some one has to LIKE this for me I can not, because I posted it, but I think it is a great project, and has a wonderful name too!
