quick stupid question, can you copy (obviously not play) games that are higher than 3.55 firmware to the internal/external hard drive from the ps3 blu-ray drive with a program like multiman? and then apply the patch for the eboot and param.sfo with an ftp program?

i know that works for 3.55 and lower games cause i have done it before.

Just for copying FW is irrelevant AFAIK, either 3.55 or 3.41 will works.

On another note.
It costs 60 bucks for a TB dongle.
A 2nd hand 360 can be had for a little over that.
All those games you mentioned can be played on the 360 including online play but you can not play online with TB.
If I had to chose between a 2nd hand 360 and a TB dongle I'd be going for the 360 any day of the week. I do feel the PS3 is better & I prefer the controller but Tekken vs Street Fighter, Dark Souls, Soul Calibur V etc are designed to be played online. I can understand why people are looking to purchase a solution to play the latest games, but I do not understand why anyone would choose TB over a 2nd hand 360 when you could have online play, 360 exclusives and games on release day without waiting for eboots.

1st I'm not a big fan of online, don't care about it, never will.

I'm more of a fan of friends actually getting together to play, physically together. Ever since my NES/SNES times that I love playing against a friend or family member that's right there next to me. I've played a few times online with friends, the feeling doesn't even come close.

And finally, I'd never trade any of my two fat PS3 (60Gb with BC) for a Xbox360. PS3 exclusives rule (MGS4, Uncharted series, God of War 3, Heavy Rain to name a few), and with access to the fantastic catalog of PS1 and PS2 games!

Just buy a 360 xenon, get VGA cable, profit.... You will be surprised as to how cheap the older version of xbox360's are. There is a high chance of RROD, but there are cheap remedies on preventing that (uniclamp example).

I've always used PS3SAVEUNLOCKER to assign the new save to my console. Haven't had any issues with it. You'll need a save from your console and the new save that you want to use. Fill in the prompts and overwrite the PARAM in the new save, then transfer to your console. Always make a backup of your original save file just in case it doesn't work

hav u tried for ff13-2??? cos i did and its not workin for me bro...it seems only xploder is able to make ff13-2 saves of other users work on our own ps3..to earn trophies and stuff...since xploder is a software that we hav to buy, i am not able to use it...pls try another way and let me know...thnx

all you gotta do is edit the PARAM.SFO of the new save file to match the account ID of your console. If PS3SAVEUNLOCKER isn't working for you try aldostool's PARAM.SFO editor. It has an option in there for the account ID's of save files. You just need to put your account ID in the new save file's PARAM.SFO
