New True Blue Patches by PARADOX Released

Thanks to fantazar for the initial heads up, we've been able to locate the newest games patched by Team PARADOX for the True Blue Dongle firmware version 2.5. Here is a quick run down for the people that are interested. These games are coming in fast and there will probably be more within the next few days. Personally, I'm hoping for patches for the updated LA Noire and Mortal Kombat games.

There are some people who don't like this idea, and that's fine, It's a trial run so that people that wish to discuss it have a place to do it, and the people that don't want to see it anymore don't have to. These discussions tend to get out of hand

@Everyone - there seems to be an issue using the European FFXIII-2 patch on the US game. The European game plays fine but there are reports of freezing at the square enix logo. I will test later today and if there is a problem I will try to come up with a hybrid patch for US users. It's way past my bed time though, so it's gonna have to wait for a little while. Please be patient

Hi guys,

Am I the only one who noticed that Sniper - Invisible, Silent, Deadly is a online-only game ? There is no point the True Blue team have made this fix... Unless they figured out a way to play online using True Blue dongle...

What is the purpose of this release ? Why did they take the time to work on this game ? Do they realy test their fix ? Or even do they know what the games are made of ?

Just a few questions I'm asking...

@Slander - looks like you were the only one to catch that. I only loaded training mode and there was no mention of it on the compatibility thread. I just tested myself and you are right. Thanks for the info

Time to buy a TB dongle me think. Anyone know a cheap place to buy from belgium? Or send it for free to belgium....

street fighter x tekken is the straw that broke the camel's back for me. i'm getting a true blue now just to stick it to capcom. and i already found a fix for the 12 disc locked characters too.

quick stupid question, can you copy (obviously not play) games that are higher than 3.55 firmware to the internal/external hard drive from the ps3 blu-ray drive with a program like multiman? and then apply the patch for the eboot and param.sfo with an ftp program?

i know that works for 3.55 and lower games cause i have done it before.

@nadheeh - I've got a fix for Final Fantasy XIII-2. Just tested US version with Eur patch and it works fine.

What's going on is you can't make a good copy of FFXIII-2 while you have TB firmware installed. You made a backup from the original disc. I had the same problem making a backup of the original FFXIII using TB firmware. FFXIII froze at the Square Enix logo. Your copy of FFXIII-2 froze in the same place.

Here's how you fix it:
1. install Rebug 3.55.2 from Codename: REBUG
2. load up multiMAN and make a new backup. I'm playing off internal drive. I suggest you do the same
3. apply your PARADOX patch
4. Re-install TB firmware
5. have fun

@BahumatLord, but anyone else with advice feel free to chip in :3

I've imported the Chinese version of FF XIII-2 as it has JPN audio/ENG subs (BCAS20224). I've not received my TB yet so I can't try it out right away but would you suggest using the BLES or BLJM EBOOT?

@yuki - I'd go with the BLJM eboot but it wouldn't hurt to try both. Just back up whatever files it replaces so you can test. If you go with the BLES eboot it will probably give you a black screen or cause trouble with the audio. If you already have the disc and not the tb, then go ahead and back it up so you don't have issues once you switch to TB firmware. TB doesn't like Final Fantasy for some reason

Just brought one, i'm still on 3.41, should I go 3.55OFW-3.55TB or is it cool to go straight to 3.55TB?

go to official of 3.55 1st..then to CFW of 3.55 (kmew) and then to TB firmware

I had the problem of FFXIII-2 freezing at the Square Enix screen with the USA release using the EU patch, however, I got the game working after being on TB CFW v2;

I made a fresh backup to internal with multiMAN and moved the patch files from within MM,

and now it plays great, w/o disc in drive

So maybe there isn't a need to jump around to Rebug and back...??

@anon101 - maybe but I mentioned earlier the same problem with the original FFXIII that is standard CFW compatible. That game froze at the square enix logo too after being backed up on TB firmware. I backed that game up 5 times before I got it to work. There was no patch needed, and it backs up fine on any other firmware. I'd look more into it but I'm having too much fun playing the new one. Beat the 2nd time gate last night and gonna see if I can knock out 1 or 2 more later tonight
