Exactly. Before anyone jumps in - it wont be possible to cross flash any of the lower version firmwares either.

What did people expect, some sort of new storage device? - none of the 'hacks' rely on being able to read/write the storage device lol.

Yeah, before you guys think you can hack the new "hack proof PS3", some people are still waiting for a CFW since 3.56(since february). I don't think a new CFW will ever come out, why not focus on 3.55CFW? Make new apps or homebrew etc huh?

Just reporting a little bit of news. Some people, like gitbrew have allready considered getting one of these models from what I have heard they might allready be getting/have one, and they are still working on an exploit for 3.56+.

some devs have 3.65 OFW hacked, or so claim, they just never released any of it, but i've seen several claiming to know exploits and running unsigned code on their consoles.

i recall one dev claiming he had an exploit he was saving for the new hack proof (kakaroto? not sure), that he wouldnt release it until the "new" console came out, and a propper firmware that actually had new features, other than just security mesures... And lets face it, sony's hasnt been spending time actually improving the firmware for the users have they? just adding more security and changing TOS...

acess to psn is not a new feature, many ppl dont care about that, and many devs will NOT waste their time on that

on another hand, this hack proof console just needs to have a secondary confirmation system to verify the firmware being installed is from sony

you all need to get off the 3.6x CFW trip already it aint gonna happen any time soon so get that out of your heads already!If you want to use 3.6x hook up a hardware flasher and upgrade and downgrade at will.../If you don't know what your doing then DONT TRY! Here is a little hint go read, then read some more, when you think you have read enough GO READ MORE! Then you want have to ask stupid questions.On a side note the 3.56 exploit wont do jack shit for you other then use it on 3.56 so please keep begging for 3.56 sploit and drive the devs crazy =)...Just a thought

why is everyone so focused on custom firmware you do remember that traditional exploits are another way to get unsigned code to run.

im not hung up on cfw because unless you updated past 3.55 or never had a console pre 3.56 then there is really no point to it at all because i think by now we should have all pretty much given up on ever gatting back on psn again ,atleast for the next few years and short of some miracle but i am hoping that we at least get some keys or a methid of playing the new games, modded eboots or whatever ,cause without those keys the scene will die , and then if toomany people get frustrated and update then we will need a cfw ,the devs who have the keys toplay new games ,if they really do have them ,have absolutly no reason not to release them , its not like it will contribute to "piracy" or be taking money out of devs or anyone elses pocket.because if its just keys then you still have to be on 3,55 so no new people will be able to use them and the people who are on 3.55 cant buy the games and play them on 3.55 anyways , so atleast if they release the keys then some people on 3.55 will buy the the games ,but nobody on 3.55 id gong to buy new retail games now since they cant even be played anyways , so they are hurting devs by not releasing the keys ,not helping them.i guess maybe they could argue that they are waiting for all the impatient people to update first ,but beyond that there is no excuse for holding on to the keys , they could at least release an eboot package ,like an rar with all the eboots for the new games if they dont want to release the keys themselvesTHROW US A FRICKIN BOOONEE

Simple solution for the impatient that want to play new games now free= either get a 2nd unhacked ps3 or, my preference, tell sony to kiss your ass and get an xbox360 since almost everything sony has microsoft does too. Right now only 5 games are unplayable with the latest hack after microsoft's latest update. Usually it gets hacked within a few weeks after microsoft updates. Only downside is you have to burn the games since usbloaders are v.01 and the like so are unreliable.
