Yes. One good reason:

The DLC unlocker PKG is meant for: BLES01667 (you may have to open the archive and transfer the files to your game data folder for the BLUS version. Might work if you follow the same directory pattern, since it doesn't have an eboot.bin. Be sure to change the game ID in the param.sfo file also.

Can anyone help me out with Assassin's Creed 3 DLC Unlocker please?,i got the BLES01667 version of the game,and i run on CFW 4.30 Rogero,i can't get the damn thing unlocked ,here's my steps:1st)Transfer the game on internall HDD,2nd) i start it with Multiman,3th)Install the game data and exit,4th)install unlocker pkg.,then i start the game...nothing unlocked.
Solved it,found out that i had to install the game data with disk in BD Drive...i was doing this disc-less,thanks anyway.

Unless you are referring to a new game, but wasn't Catherine fixed many moons ago (around August)? Use Google search to find the fix for 3.55.

DOA 5 has been on my list, but I get "epic fails" each time I try. Need help from a Jedi Master! I think it has encrypted SDAT file.

hi guys plz help me to install tekken tag 2 update patch 1.03 plz guide me bcz I download the file and after extract there is no pkg file inside its an extracted BLES01702 folder and I do everything but noithing work plz help me

So here's a stupid question... This last update pack has "game update" fix for pro evolution soccer 2013. But I haven't seen the fix for the "base" game before...
How are we supposed to get this working? (i.e. how can I update the game if there's no patch for the base game).

In most cases you do not need a fix for the base game i.e. the disc EBOOT.BIN and sprxs etc. If you have an update that overrides these. The game when started will look in the game folder for files before it look on the disk (or in our case the games folder). So you see the original EBOOT.BIN and selfs etc are never loaded, just the ones from the update.

Hey, thanks for that fast answer!! Ok, I get that part, but what if the update also had other files? (updated rosters or whatever) i guess the fix just has the fixed main files but not the data that was updated itself, right? (except the eboot.bin, etc).

Depends who does the fix, some fixes are the complete updates. Some fixes as you say are just the EBOOT.BIN and any other files that need to be re-encrypted, and the standard pkg required files like param.sfo etc. The instructions are normally very clear as to if it is a full update or just the fix. If it is just a fix you install the official updates first and then any fix.

Just be aware that the game code (sorry forgot the official name for it e.g. BLES00001) needs to match the version of the game you have. Otherwise the fix will install in a completely different directory and make no difference to your game. :-)
