NES On PS Vita Without VHBL With Major Drawback

An anonymous developer has released a method allowing a Nintendo emulator to run on the PS Vita. (firmware 1.67) The method described below via the original source uses the recently released PlayStation Suite Development Kit coupled with some other tools. Similar to the VHBL exploit it's a kind of emulator within an emulator method thus having a major drawback as it only allows a frame rate of 15fps. Lets hope that the developer in question finds a way to tweak this method to achieve higher frame rates.

At this time the game Super Colapse 3 that is used with the current Vita Half-Byte Loader, has been pulled from the Playstation store. There is no know way to exploit the Vita further on this version of the firmware (1.67) . The only way is to use the Playstation Suite Development kit. Fortunetly someone out there has made a NES emulator using the PS SDK.

Leaf controls [] and X are your A and B buttons Triangle will change the rom that’s loaded. Dpad is your movement keys.

Go here via your PS Vita and download the development suite.
Download the NES emulator.
Download Vita Connect (*Note from source: The Vita Connect download also contains the source code of the program and a pre compiled program in the “VitaConnector/obj/x86/debug” directory. You may need to copy the dll files into that directory from “VitaConnector/lib” directory.)
Launch Vita Connect
Connect the PS Vita to your PC via it's USB cable.
Launch PlayStation Vita SDK on the PS Vita before clicking refresh.
Click on “refresh devices”
Click on “connect to the device”
Click on “upload”
Restart PS Suite Dev on your Vita
You should now have a “Leaf” game
Launch this to play NES

Great Release! But when I tried it just now, the Vita won't connect to the computer while the PS Suite Dev app is open. Also, the "Vita Connect" keeps giving me an error while trying to connect to the Vita, it says the application needs to be compiled with debugging in it. I don't have the PS Suite SDK, so I can't do it.
Any help?

Uh-huh, sure.

Anyway this is rather neat, coupled with the fact that the Vita SDK is out now so a *lot* of awesome casual games are coming our way. I might just consider getting a Vita, but a price drop around the holidays (pretty far off I know, but I'll be busy till then anyway) would definetly seal the deal.

Ok I found the problem. I had to install the PS Suite SDK to get the Vita's drivers installed!
Now it is working

By the way, you guys wern't lieing about it having a slow framerate!
It took me about 20 mins jus to finish the first level!
Its all good though, but still I can't wait untill someone fixes the framerate problem

I got an error trying this. When I try to connect my Vita, it says there's an unhandled exception and the program stops. As I'm a software development student and I have Visual Studio, I've even tried to run it through the source and the error is still there. I don't know what can I be doing wrong. If someone does, please help me.

Never mind, problem solved. I hadn't installed SDK for windows yet. Same problem as SMOKE. x) And I say the same he did, really slow framerate. But they're gonna fix that for sure.

the framerate is slow it takes a minute to beat the first lv but with this your talking 20 minutes.

Ya its super slow
I don't know how fast yours is going but on mine the time counter in the upper right corner counts down every 3-4 seconds!
I don't know how you got yours to do the first level in a minute.
