The latest full version of multiMAN 2.09.00 has been released by developer deank. More support for PSX backup has been added to this latest official base; all while making his multifunctional tool easier to use. You can find the latest changelog and downloads below, enjoy!

02.09.00 - Changelog:

* Improved performance in XMMB display mode
* Backup from PS3 game discs now works as it should
* You can still launch PSX games from XMMB Game Column
* You can still launch PS3 game backups from DVD-R/RW / BD-R/RE
* You cannot create ISO backups or access non-genuine PS3 game discs (unless Direct Disc Access is enabled)
* You will see an animated icon in XMMB Game column, which you can use to launch your PSX backups.
* To keep the same functionality as before you can turn on "Direct Disc Access" from XMMB Settings column.
>>> Press [TRIANGLE] -> Enable Direct Disc Access
>>> When in Direct Disc Access mode you can rip BD movie discs, launch games, but you can't create backups of PS3 Game Discs.
>>> Do not use "Direct Disc Access Mode" unless you really need it.

Not that its bad, but it feels like we get a patch or whole new version every day. Oh well, keep the new features coming.

This would be update 3 today. I just updated a few hours ago. I don't mind frequent updates, I just wonder what DeanK does besides this?

there's got to be something there that's not allowing 3.41JB or 3.41CFW consoles to run the PSX backups. 3.55CFW runs them well thoughGreat release as always deank

Most likely because people keep asking for different features. At least we only have to update MM and not a whole load of seperate packages....

Increasing PSX support is good, but the only PSX game I want it to launch is Spyro Year of the Dragon - Greatest Hits. Once it can do that, I'll be content. Keeps black-screening for me. If it can detect the burn, it shouldn't be the disc, right? Its gotta be the software, right? Just got 02.08.11 about an hour ago. This one can wait until morning.

Had the same problem. What I did to get around it was first put in my PSX backup disk and then launched multiman.

i had no idea that ps3 games were bootable from a bd-r. when did that happen?

Had the same problem with my Spyro 3: GHits copy. Borrowed my neighbors Spyro 3 (Non Greatest Hits) and it played perfectly. Both games had the same DiscID, so I don't think things changed on the disc at all.. It might have just been my CD that didn't work.

Ok, some good news for 3.41MFW users. Thanks to an0nymous the proper offsets for lv1 and lv2 in 3.41 were located and you can now enjoy the PSX games and direct-disc-access.

First post and online update available for version 02.09.01:

* Support for PSX backups on 3.41MFW (10x to an0nymous for the lv1/lv2 offsets)

Have in mind that it won't work for 3.41OFW + dongle. You need to be on 3.41MFW with some lv1 patches.
