The developer known world-wide as deank, brings us another update to his multifunctional tool for the PS3, that includes things like Rebug 3.41.3 support, a fix for the coverflow freeze, as well as plenty of other updates. You can read the current release information about multiMAN v2.06.04 below.

* Added: "Background Appearance" option in XMMB Settings to swtich image/video background for XMMB and Coverflow modes
* Added: Screensaver will display the motion background if enabled
* Added: Option to select 9 different motion backgrounds wave.divx, wave2.divx... wave9.divx (restart may be required)
* Added: Support for REBUG CFW 3.41.3
* Changed: When motion background is activated, multiMAN will stay in 5.1 audio mode when possible
* Changed: Default display timing set to VSYNC = no tear (VSYNC/HSYNC modes can be switched with SELECT+SQUARE)
* Changed: SIDE menu will 8x zoom current entry icon (in VSYNC mode)
* Changed: Implemented OpenPS3FTP by jjolano and removed the old buggy FTP server (faster transfer speeds and no path/file length limitations). Login: anonymous | Password: <anything>
* Fixed: All issues in coverflow mode (lock or motion video bg stop/break)
* Fixed: "Key Repeat Delay" option

can some one put some more details on how to add divx files for motion backround, i cant find the BLE to put the file in to, probably something simple but help would be great thanks

ok i just got afraid. i was on 2.05 for a while and today directly updated to this 2.06.04 through the update option in multiman itself. did i mess up?? should i have manually downloaded 2.06 then installed that then updated? im confused!!!

You must put the motion background in multiMAN's folder: /dev_hdd0/game/BLES80608/USRDIR

You can have up to 9 files, named: wave.divx, wave2.divx, wave3.divx ..... wave9.divx

Yes, it is possible - multiMAN will copy the MKV file to a temp location to make it available to Showtime.

Yes, through Showtime. Be sure to have multiMAN updated as well as Showtime for multiMAN and that you have your USB.CFG file edited so multiMAN can detect your NTFS drive.
Once you´ve got all that set up you just need to go to multiMAN and select the PFS Driver option under Settings so that multiMAN can switch to the NFTS driver and then go into File Manager Mode, select the file you want to play and press X, multiMAN will then cache the file and start playing it

Edit: Ok Dean is waaay faster then me typing

I think that's more of a statement for fresh install, you should be fine as I just did the same and have no problems

so this is how to play my .mkv in hdd. i have 500GB HDD, 250 in NTFS and 250 in FAT32, is this okay? i will try this at home! thanks man!
