Deank creator of multiMAN has released some more updates bringing v02.07.03 to our jailbroken PS3's. Some advancements includefaster booting, added advanced option in XMMB & fixed browsing for roms in zip format. But when it was announced that we could back up our DVD's and Blu-Ray's, most of you wanted ISO support. Well, without further ado here you go.

After many posts by deank regarding this update, here is what deank added.

multiMAN ver 02.07.03 UPDATE (20110920-134201).pkg (1.63 MB)

* Changed: multiMAN starts faster now
* Fixed: Unnecessary auto-refresh/scan for content on each startup
* Added: Advanced option in XMMB Settings:

Expand Contents of XMMB media columns
Sets whether to scan and show content in music, photo, video and retro columns.

When option is disabled, multiMAN will not scan your usb/hard drive/etc for supported files (mp3/avi/roms/etc)

You can now RIP optical discs (DVD/BD) to ISO format. The speed is good:

6MB/s for DVD
10MB/s for Blu-ray discs

* Added: "Create ISO" option in SIDE menu when BD/DVD is selected in VIDEO column or PLAYSTATION2 is selected in Retro column

* Added: "Create ISO" option in File Manager's context menu when /dev_bdvd is selected
* Fixed: Browsing for ROMS in ZIP format

6 new labels in the language files

If only Sony would listen to their customer needs like developer Deank does.

disc's as in regular dvd? no it doesnt i just tested it with dbz. just seems to freeze ps3. also noticed that multiman has been freezing lately

i downloaded this but when i went to copy the blu-rays and DVDs my ps3 froze....this is nothing but hype

so i backed up my kick ass bluray and the fastest speed i got was 8.5mb/s, it took about 1 1/2 hour to copy. it was 46 gigs. im now doing a dvd and its topping out at 2.6 mb/s. im using the fat ps3 model. i wonder if the slim ps3's reach better speeds.

hey guys i have ripped Black Knight to iso than ripped on pc works perfectly thanks Deank.. also any dvd anyone has got from bali or thailand rip and work straight out of Showtime..no protection..

If you launch Showtime from multiMAN it will get access to the disc in the tray and then you can play videos from it. Of course encrypted DVD-Video and Blu-ray movie discs cannot be played in showtime, because you have to remove the protection first (on your PC).

The top speed for BD discs is 8.57MB/s and for DVD people get ~6-8MB/s. On my slim I get ~6-7MB/s from DVD.

@ps3gamer95: There is no 'hype'. Copying DVD/BD works just fine if you're on 3.55 kmeaw or 3.55 rebug.

The latest update is always available online via multiMAN (via debug mode / L2+R2 during startup), in #multiMAN channel and in the 1st post of the threat @ps3hax.

DeanK, I'm loving the Expand option! The only problem I'm having now is the refresh when enabled. As you read in a previous post. I have A LOT of MP3's on my external and it just takes up so much time trying to scan them all for embedded covers.

XMMB - 8 to 10 minutes
File Mngr. 3 - 4 minutes.

Is there some way that you can make the mp3's scan and scroll like you have the Pictures column? Or, Maybe not have the Expand refresh all the drives when enabled. Or, Maybe have an option under the Expand to refresh or not to refresh(tis the question, lol). Only replying to this cause SD Cards are not accessible in XMMB when the expand option is un-checked.Pictires, Video, and so forth.

I know you're busy on the ISO thing. And quite frankly I hope you get it so multiMan can mount them and play'em. If all possible, with out the cobra dongle of course. Guess we'll just see about that one.

And what needs specifically do you mean? Ripping DVDs/BRs? MKV support? Starting games without a bluray? Honestly, most of the things the users wish are barely legal..

Deank once again thanks for multiman, but I do have a request, is it possible to have multiman work with the cobra cfw. I know multiman can pretty much do everything but the psx and ps2 games (for now) if you need a cobra USB I will send you mine. Thank in advance either way.

First of all thank you so much Dean for this awsome job. I'm using the latest version of Multiman 2.0.7.3 and Yesterday I copied sum Video Files from my external NTFS and everything worked great. But I forgot to copy some Videos and then when I tried to start the PFS Driver again it just showed the black screen with "please wait". This could be a problem with the new Update because I never had this problem before. just want to let you know this maybe you could fix this in future Versions. greetz Hurricane

Deank, you are awesome. I have only been using mm since I jb my ps3. I agree with alot of people and bitsbubba, if you can make it for cobra users, i would gladly donate, just pm me where i can send a donation and buy you a man soda(beer) or something. You do awesome work. I hate the cobra manager, it is horridly slow I love the layouts on yours and I wish i knew how to program so i could help out. Im willing to test.

Bought a super expensiv cobra since it got stuck in costum and they double taxed me and everything. Payed almost double because I ordered from china. damn deal xtreme. However do I really need to remake all my games to isos now?

Johny Does CFW didn't work with cobra and all my backups are in folder form. it would be nice to use them and only use the ps2/PSP feature from cobra since my fat is in particles and only have a usable slim now. My laser was almost gone and I thought I would do this cheap only switching the laser diode, however it's impossible to align it without the proper tools, any one selling an old and cheap Osciloskop? I bet I get a whole PS3 cheaper then that. The blue laser is so thin, with the red you could try your way, with the blue it's imposible, they wrote I would have to align it. It's maybe time to dust of the old PS2 because i will never get the laser working again. Before it could atleast load the TOC now it's totally destroyed. This is the destiny of every PS3 laser, they are just like lightbulbs but they work less time. This really sucks.

However what can I do with the Cobra now, I to need to donate to Deank so he can buy himself a Cobra. If cobra would accept isos and files would make my day. I am afraid to downgrade to cobra CFW, hoped for Johny Does CFW but it's just another Kmeaw, not sure if it's better or worst. Have to wait for dualboot, don* care about online play but switching between Kmeaw and Cobra would be great. If someone would make a CFW that stops loading all the Kmeaw features if there is a Cobra conected or using the eject t load kmeaw features and power to load only Cobra. Cobra obviously don*t like kmeaw features and dies when it's loaded. only one set of features at a time....
