    The very few owners of a DEX (aka Test) PlayStation 3 can now enjoy backup compatibility using multiMAN Cobra Manager 4.01 thanks to an anonymous developer. Simply download and install the latest mmCM 4.01 then install the modified update provided below.

      Dex is a Test/Debug console. This is not for retail consoles. DEX = debug, CEX = retail.

      Damn, I should of bought one of those "TEST" PS3's when ps3scene.com were selling stolen ones. Oh well ... at least now developers can play some games and take a break from coding (the few that still do for this ungrateful ps3 scene).

      what does a DEX ps3 console do anyway? is it for like playing games at testing stages can someone elaborate it for me

      All of them, which are on sale are stolen. You cant just buy it. Sony give them to developers, and it is property of sony. They just cant sell them.
