  • multiMAN Cobra Manager Update Released

mmCM has been updated to version 4.01.02 bringing further file support such as creating ISO/BIN/CUE from a PlayStation 2 CD to remote host and displaying cover art from Blu-Ray discs. Also added is the ability to auto extract thumbnails after ISO/BIN/CUE is created.

    Changelog:
    • Added support for creating ISO/BIN+CUE images from PS2 CD and PS1/PSX CD *directly* to remote host
    • Added automatic extraction of thumbnails after ISO/BIN+CUE is created (PS3/PS2/PSX/BD/DVD)
    • Added support for displaying coverart/jacket for Blu-ray and AVCHD discs (if /HDAVCTN or /BDMV/META/DL folders contain jpg jacket-image)
    • Added support for creating ISO files from folders to remote host (ISO is cached to internal HDD and then moved to remote host)
    • Improved FTP transfer speed (up to 10MB/s over 100Mbit connection)
    • Improved transfer speed from and to remote hosts (/net_host) (up to 10MB/s over 100Mbit connection)
    • Improved scanning of remote host content folders
    • Added support to set "External Game Data" for games/applications installed under /dev_hdd0/game or /dev_usb***/GAMEI (RELOAD.SELF required)
    • Fixed few issues introduced in 04.01.01, related to displaying/refreshing Retro/Music/Photo columns

No thanx, don't care to write up news. As for credit, don't care for it.

I was only stating it took long enough.

I could of said something like other ppl say. but, I aint going there.

Edit: BTW, The showtime for multiMan was also updated.

@Quakes69 ... Like I said, you will just have to wait then.

You don't have to write an article if you don't want to, it can be as simple as something like "The showtime for multiMan was also updated".

Something like other people say?!?! Well, we are trying to cut down on all the negative posts, so hopefully there will be less and less of people only posting to complain.

As for the SHOWtime multiMAN update... someone might get to that soon. I know I am about to take off, and will most likely be gone all day long.

But basically, if you are are not trying to get the information to the correct people, then don't ask why they didn't get it. Makes sense, right?

This has probly already been answered but i have not found it but want to know weather i can play 3.60+ backups such as dirt 3 or if it can play 3.60+ games at all with or without the discs? i would greatly appreciate it as i now the trublu dongle allows this but wanting to know which is better to buy thank you

@KADA - the true blue is your only option for playing 3.60+ games with the exception of some patched games. The cobra and any other dongle are not designed to play 3.60+ games

@indirect76 - it fixed a problem that a lot of people were having with their roms/retro games not showing up at all so it's good news for a lot of people

Just checked my mail box and lo and behold, my Cobra! Hells Yeah son!
The package it arrived in described it as "card reader" !
Black box w/ snake skin texture and a chrome cobra symbol w/ a Cobra USB inside!

Usually I'm up for defending developers of the PS3 scene, but not these people. Not even the True Blue dongle. These people greedy bastards. I'm sorry, but these people are the opposite of console freedom. They continue teasing you with this crap until you pay them $50 for a crappy USB stick.

@ch13696 Look, they are not forcing you or anyone to buy their dongles. They are however working on improving their features for those that have purchased there dongles.

damn i cant understand the hate either, the cobra dongle cost me less than £30 shipped from within the UK. for the extra features it gives you it is money well spent! if you like what it can do get one because you will not regret it!

I understand the need to improve on their dongle, but why lock it down? Why charge people for something that should be free for everyone?

Why should it be free? They've put a lot of work into it adding features that Sony saw fit to leave out and deserve to be paid if they choose to charge. I don't work for free and I'm sure you don't either. I'm not trying to be rude but it's as simple as that

Ditto. Why should it be free? Why do YOU deserve to get it for free? I don't understand why people feel entitled to stuff that they neither bought or created. Do you live in a communist society where everybody gets a share of everything? Why don't you send us your money too?

You can't get too mad at these people. They've grown up in an age of free music, free movies, free software, free whatever. Why, back in my day we actually had to buy VHS tapes if we wanted home movies, cassette tapes if we wanted music, software piracy was almost non existent and if you did back something up you had to do it on floppy disks not on your multi terabyte hard drive. When I was a kid we didn't have The Internet. If we wanted to know something, we had to go to the damn library and look it up ourselves, in the card catalogue!! There was no email. We had to actually write somebody a letter, with a pen. Then you had to walk all the way across the street and put it in the mailbox and it would take like a week to get there! There were no MP3's. You wanted to steal music, you had to hitchhike to the damn record store and shoplift it yourself! Or you had to wait around all day to tape it off the radio and the DJ'd usually talk over the beginning and @#*% it all up! We didn't have fancy crap like Call Waiting! If you Were on the phone and somebody else called they got a busy signal, that's it! And we didn't have fancy Caller ID either! When the phone rang, you had no idea who it was! It could be your school, Your mom, your boss, your Bookie, your drug dealer, a collections agent, you Just didn't know!!! You had to pick it up and take your chances, mister! We didn't have any fancy Sony Playstation video Games with high-resolution 3-D graphics! We had the Atari 2600! With games Like 'Space Invaders' and 'asteroids'. Your guy was a little square! You Actually had to use your Imagination!! And there were no multiple levels or Screens, it was just one screen Forever! And you could never win. The game just kept getting Harder and harder and Faster and faster until you died! Just like LIFE! You had to use a little book called a TV Guide to find out what was On! You were screwed when it came to channel surfing! You had to get off Your ass and walk over to the TV to change the Channel and there was no Cartoon Network either! You could only get cartoons On Saturday Morning. Do you Hear what I'm saying!?! We had to wait ALL WEEK For cartoons, you spoiled Little rat-bastards! And we didn't have microwaves, if we wanted to heat Something up we had to use the stove ... Imagine that! That's exactly what I'm talking about! You kids Today have got it too easy. You're spoiled. You guys wouldn't have lasted Five minutes back in 1980!
not my quote - just fits and funny as hell
