  • multiMAN aka mmCM v04.04.01 - Improved Rebug and 3.41 Support

Another update for multiMAN aka mmCM has just been released following the release of v04.04.00 just the other day. Today, v04.04.01 comes to everyone, and includes added support for Rebug firmware, as well as more 3.41 support. Pretty much all firmwares can now take advantage of multiMAN's incredible backup compatibility support. Some other aspects of the program have also been updated; including adding several new features to the mmOS, as well as updating bdRESET. See the changelog below for all the details.

    Changelog:
    * Added support for desktop shortcuts to games:
    - Name of the game, Icon of the game used for the shortcut created to game's EBOOT.BIN

    * Added background image for game folders (PIC1.PNG used if present)

    * Added "Open Location" in context menu [O] for shortcuts

    * Added path information when deleting games from internal/external HDD

    * Added feature to keep desktop icons when shortcuts are renamed

    * Added support for multiple shortcuts to files/folders with the same name (Windows alike - adding (1), (2)... (64) to the shortcut name)

    * Added support for REBUG 3.55.2 and OFW/MFW 3.41 to the "BD-Mirror" option for (BSG) game backups in internal HDD

    * Updated bdRESET to version 2.2 (to reset BD-Mirror state for internal HDD)
Download: mmCM ver 04.04.01 BASE (20120622) - MIRROR

Almost every time I update MultiMan, my Borderlands backup game does some funky things. The other update made the game think the installed DLC wasn't there. This update made the game re-install the install game data. Can you look into this? Keep up the great work.

This guy. Always good to see him at work. Shows that he doesn't plan on slowing down anytime soon.

I was thinking a good MM option would be able to disable some of the windows you don't want to scroll through with the R1/L1. For instance, If you just use the Game List and File Manager, you could just have those available and hit R1/L1 to go back and forth. Or if you just wanted the XMB, File Manager, and 4x2 view you could disable the others just to have those available. Again those are just examples.

There may be a way to do it but I have not found that in the options.

      Thanks again Deank!

It should be but you're going to have a really hard time finding anybody still using Wankiko's firmware. Too many bricks. Do yourself a favor and upgrade to KMEAW or Rebug

Thanks deank for the update, Great as always
I just have couple of ideas i'd really love it if mmCM had it
1st that you can Create Shortcuts not just for desktop but for other folders
For example copy as shortcut then we can paste as shortcut in the needed location
2nd if its possible to change the view mode of the folders it will be nice
For example i made shortcut of a ps3 game in a folder named Games
And when I open the folder I'll only see the name of the game
so if i can change the view so it shows the game icon too
      it's gonna be nice
and Thanks again deank, I hope you read this comment

@deank - I ran into a fairly big problem with the file manager. I think it's pretty recent - maybe from when mmos was implemented because I've done it successfully on the old file manager. I'm sure you're aware of mixed-region DLC where you can take let's say Japanese DLC and copy the contents of the /game/GAMEID/USRDIR to the US folder and the Japanese DLC will work on US games. I just tried with Atelier Totori. When copying it deletes the existing folders before copying the new folders which breaks the game because of then missing files. But when I ftp the contents instead and overwrite whatever needs to be overwritten it works fine

v1 was rife with bricks, v2 was not. KMEAW/Rebug would not be an "upgrade", just a change.

I'm aware of the history. Ask anybody that had a v1 brick if they would try to install v2. Faulty is faulty. You can't erase that kind of history with "my bad". KMEAW and Rebug are far more tested, trusted, and safe

Oh, and by the way, there are still versions of v1 floating around. Some are even listed as v2. In the end it's not my console so not my call, but I would never install it

Edit: and that kind of irks me that you felt the need to call me on a simple grammatical error as update versus upgrade. Even with that lapse I still believe that people understood what I was saying.

Waninkoko v2 is as safe as the rest. And there were loads of people who suffered bricks with v1 that went on to use v2, I bet if you even look back on here you'll find plenty of examples.

Also how was I supposed to know it was a grammatical error on your part? I assumed you chose your wording deliberately.

@deank - I know you're getting tired of seeing my bug reports but got another one for you. I plugged in my NTFS drive and ran the PFS driver. Everything's working on that end. I copied the US version of Star Wars The Force Unleashed Ultimate Sith Edition from the NTFS drive to internal. It has a 4GB+ file in it but when I copied it didn't merge the split file like it normally does from a fat32 drive. I just moved the folder to a temp location and copied it back to the /GAMES folder and it merged them correctly. As always - thanks

      * Updated bdRESET to version 2.2 (to reset BD-Mirror state for internal HDD)
Oh, I missed that. Thanks for the update.

I use TB, so BD-Mirror for internal HDD is not needed, but do you think I should still update to this version? Will this version still assist me with that TB bug I reported a while back?
