PSX-SCENE Forum Discussion for Sony PlayStation/PsOne/PS2/PS3/PSP/PS VITA
  • UPDATE #2: multiMAN 4.07.00 DEX & CEX Released

Here is an update to multiMAN. Version 4.07.00 adds additional support for the elusive custom Firmware 4.21. Also included is a fix for PS1 disc backups. So far I can confirm this release for DEX consoles, but unable to check my PS3 for a CEX release. If anyone can upload the CEX version, please add it in the comments below.

    Changelog: multiMAN 4.07.00
    • Added full support for BD - Mirror for games on internal HDD for 4.21 CFW
    • Added support for 4.21 CFW CEX spoofed to 4.25
    • Fixed an issue with loading PS1 disc backups
    • Fixed some text typos and translation for "temperature" strings
    Update from Deank

Yes but use the CEX version on a 3.55 DEX MFW like Rogero's DEX

If Deank is giving us "hints" and adding support to multiMAN I have all the faith this will come to light soon enough.

My guess this isn't deank CFW to share and there is likely still some testing/work to be done, before it is released in the public. Just remember the waninokoko bricks, if more testing was done on other consoles then some bricks may not of happened.

i don't like hints, i'm a dude in that sense. i prefer straight up answers. nothing was ever confirmed and that's pretty much what i want: confirmation.

wanikoko just needed like one more test to be done on fat ps3's. i think there's more flashers now, so hopefully that'll help. the only thing i can see them testing, is a way to go back since sony made the patch in 3.56 for installing firmwares and going back and stuff.

If its coming from deank that's all the conformation i need.

CFW is a much different landscape with 3.55 then 4.21 so IMO its really hard to speculate things. Especially when this is new ground. Sometimes a flasher potentially does no good, when your doing new things.

he tested on Phats, Nor Phats, fail on his part but he learned (I learned) then again according to the Wii scene he's not a stranger to bricks

Waninkoko CFW v1 only bricked Phat Nand, not Phat Nor or Silm (also Nor) Waninkoko CFW v2 was safe for all Nand/Nor alike'but by the time it came it was to late
