[Update] multiMAN 04.19.00 -- Adds PS1 ISO/BIN Support

Update: v04.19.01 released. Adds support to Multi-Disk games. Also updated multiMAN Showtime builds released.

Deank has updated multiMAN to version 04.19.00. In this update following the work of Estwald from IrisManager, Deank has added PS1 ISO support to multiMAN (single-disc) without a Cobra Dongle. ISO/BIN backups are said to have less compatibility then the CD-R backups method that has been featured in multiMAN for some time. PS1(PSX) games will appear in the RETRO column of multiMAN and should be placed in the (/PSXISO /PSXGAMES folders). Memory Cards are stored in the same folder as games. Covers (png and jpgs) are supported. For more informational checkout the complete change log below for v04.19.00/04.19.01.

multiMAN 04.19.00/01 is now available online for CEX/DEX/STEALTH:

* Added initial support for single-disc PS1 ISO/BIN backups (/PSXISO /PSXGAMES folders)
* PS1 ISO/BIN backups will show in the RETRO column
* PS1 ISO/BIN backups compatibility is much lower than burned PS1 CD backups

* Added support for multi-disc PS1 backups (in 04.19.01)
* Updated Showtime for mM and standalone to 04.01.451

* Credits for the PS1 EMU patches go solely to Estwald/Hermes

Memory cards are stored per game in the same folder as the game. Covers can be named as the iso/bin with .jpg (3264x3264 max) or .png (416x414 max) extension (or as COVER.JPG (3264x3264 max) when using PSXGAMES folder with game-name subfolder).

Don't forget that pressing [SQUARE] in the RETRO column groups content (emulator ROMS, PS1/PS2/PSP).

Hey Deank great work mate!

And just to say if its not to much trouble but can you add a function to showtime player in the 'XMB of your multiMAN' to see 'whats new in the latest updates of showtime'? please.

Also can someone tell me how i can move showtime to my XMB in 'TV/Video Category' i would rather use showtime from my home screen xmb instead of booting up multiMAN all the time.

well, for the second question, just download the pkg and you should be good and it'll put it there.

btw, i got the game to show up under retro, but not under my external drive which i think is weird but i guess you keep saying it's under retro but not mentioning that it'll show up that way.

idk, i use retroarch separately, so i guess it's not too bad having psx the default rom on the xmmb. got a few tests to see how i can organize the games cause it's only worked so far by not placing it in a folder.

i think maybe it was my previous game's rip, so i'm trying it again.

so cool feature, i just kinda noticed it seems to play the games at a lower quality, but maybe it's a been a while.

Change your folder name to PSXISO and put all your Iso's in there. They should then show in the correct folder when you select them...

I STICK ON SEXY IRIS MANAGER!
multiMAN cannot release PS2 support on your PS3 he waiting for the other work and copying again and again!
look on the IRIS MANAGER they release the PSX SUPPORT on ps3 why multiMAN the old backup not releasing this because he dont know he copy the idea of IRIS and put it on the multMAN.

make a folder name PSXISO and make again a folder name of your game example Legend of Legaia put the iso or bin file there, i also put some cover here the format download some cover on google and name it like this COVER.JPG and put it on the folder of the game i use FTP more faster

I'm not sure if I am late and you already figured it out by now.

Also read this:
- Next, make sure you have the latest versions of multiMAN -- you should be on 04.19.01.
- Next, make sure you capitalized the PSX main folder in the root of your HDDs. (/PSXISO /PSXGAMES folders) --whichever you used.
- Next, make sure you did a rescan in multiMAN when you go to the RETRO folder and press square until you see the PSX category--you will have to press several times until you reach it. You can always quickly exit and see what the RETRO title says, look for when it says RETRO.
- If all fails, be sure that in your multiMAN settings, it is enabled to scan for ISOs and also expand columns and etc.
If you are still having trouble, please list here your folder's directory to your PSX Games so I can check to see you did not misspell anything. And also jot down your multiMAN settings. But like I said, be sure that the RETRO category/group is set to PSX and you did a rescan so the new changes appear.

BIN/CUE but at the moment this procedure doesn't read the CUE so some crucial information is lost (compatibility/sound might increase when this does happen)

Many formats work in IrisManager, I have not tested them all in multiMAN, but so far BIN and IMG work fine.

I would not get rid of the CUE, CCD, SUB, or other cue files, since I have the feeling that might change in the near future.

I see what you did earlier, you had tried to browse the HDD by using the Retro HDD browser for compatible games. I don't think that works yet with this. Just stick to the Retro browser. Press Square to switch from emulator choices and select them from there like you do when you are PS3 game displays and etc.

well, i have a feeling this will greatly improve over the week also and i don't wanna install another app on my ps3 for this specifically. i did it for one but that's cause it was direct boot but still kinda preferred mm cause of background music support.

idk if you do get what i did. in the beginning, i tried mmos, that made it boot. then, i pushed square and stuff and eventually it began to show after it refreshed. now, i just like wanna use the retrohdd browser (which it shows now with psxiso) for those and then leave all other games for the retro column.

Hi, Im have big trouble with this. My file structure is dev_hdd0/PSXGAMES/Crash Bandicoot iso
Ive also tried Mortal Kombat 4 .img and tired to run it from Retro Browser but it keeps freezing on Please wait...
Any help would be great.

now do you mean in game or when it attempts to boot?

try putting it on an external drive in PSXISO and see if that helps.

psx imags shared via net_host0 PSXISO, are listed in the retro section and no longer shows splashscreen requesting Cobra when attempting to load but freezes ps3 on "Please Wait..."

guessing its not meant to work but incase, this was on
