    After the recent developments in multiMAN, Deank has listened to the end users and released yet another update. We are all aware that the last two updates brought major increases in how multiMAN processed information. These improvements included copy speed etc. What many were, simply put, complaining about was the verifying of USB game data. Some games had many folders that hindered performance and required you to wait up to 15 minutes before completion. Although this verification process is a once off check it is still a rather annoying one. What Deank has done in this release, among other changes, is have multiMAN do the verification in the background. Check out the rest in the changelog below.


    Changelog multiMAN 04.16.04:
    multiMAN 04.16.04 is available online now:

    • Improved speed when copying games/files from/to USB HDDs
    • Improved speed when copying games from PS3 Game Discs
    • Improved speed when copying/browsing folders via FTP (LIST/MLSD)
    • Added support for up to 99 pkg files in the [* Install Package Files] queue
    • [* Install Package Files] function will scan /dev_hdd0/PKGTMP and will MOVE the queued pkg files from this folder (saving HDD space by not copying to temp location)
    • mmOS will now honor the "Verify USB Games" setting when starting games from icons/shortcuts/game-folder
    • Scanning for active USB storage devices is now performed in the background and will speed up loading games on 4.**CFW
    • Verifying games is now performed in the background (when possible) to avoid delays when loading games

    The last one means that mM will scan your USB game folders in the background. It if manages to scan a game at least once you'll never be bothered with 'Verifying data...' again Along with the background scanning of usb devices it is now "Press [X] and game is loaded..."

    Notice: It is required you have version 04.16.00 BASE installed, Before upgrading to the 04.16.xx series of updates (UPD -.01,.02,.03). It is safe to go from .01 to .04 or any combination like that as long as 04.16.00 was installed prior to the 04.16.00 series updates.

      Multiman is awesome!!! Thank you Deank for all your great work. Request: is there anyway to release the features locked to Cobra? I would love to play my psx backups from my hdd along with my other games.

      guys stop asking the same question the guy who hacked it hasnt released ANYTHING yet he simply posted a blog saying he did it. he probably doesnt want to release it because every friggin time people in this scene freak the f**k out! and leave and have a bitching war etc...i'm not saying that this is going to happen now with the people involved (he seems like a stand up guy) but because this is the history and this bitchy ass scene this is what happens bak when the xbox was being modded there were modchips people bought them and didnt complain things go leaked people didnt complain they just came back with something better, etc etc. but here there are a few devs (one starts with an M) who think they are the (insiders) of the scene. and everyone get mad and runs away. kinda dumb for a console scene. I use to test DTV and DIsh by reprogramming the smart cards/ setting up PC emulators and some questionable people made a LOT of money off that crap and the scene still wasnt as bad. it was somewhat like this. but for a freaking PS3 everyone calm the hell dowm

      sorry just had to get that out. hopefully the payload will be released but it HASN'T so just be quiet and wait and maybe it will release

      Is there no more updates for non cex/dex users? ive never used cex/dex , still on 3.5fw

      and when i went to update from inside MM it gave me an error

      Simply put...........
      Unless you have converted to DEX (which you haven't or you would definitely know! ) then you actually are running a CEX console.

      Have you installed the 4.16.00 base yet?
      This is required before you can update to the newest releases.

      I was getting an error for a bit when trying to update inside of multiman.
      I downloaded to a tablet then updated through a flash drive.

      The console is updating just fine for me now that I am on a good connection at home.

      I did update the CFW to the newest Rogero recently but had no issues updating multiman while still running kmeaw 3.55.

      Hopefully some of this helps you.

      Perhaps I spoke a little soon.

      I was running 4.16.03 and just went to update to 4.16.04.
      I am getting the error message also.
      I will give it an hour or so and try again.

      You do still need to install the 4.16.00 base before trying to update to the latest though.

      Is it possible to install 04.16.00 BASE over 04.14.04 STEALTH? i want this update badly thanks to any help.

      His new release of 4.17.00 is able to install over your stealth.
