Deank continues his support of multiMAN over the last 2+ long years and continues to make this a must have for any CFW enabled ps3 system. multiMAN has became a staple of the scene and continues to grow at a rapid pace. Deank has provided another great update bringing the multi-purpose application to v04.14.04. Deank has dubbed the newly added Stealth edition as "stealthMAN" which requires an additional installation then the conventional multiMAN. In this new update there is added support for Game Updates that had the 80010009 error code, Support added for installing PKGs from NTFS drives via mmOS, Support added for installing Game Updates after download on 4.30CFW ROGERO v2.03, Improved display of game titles & fixed a cover issue in the 8x4 display. Also check below for all the changes in stealthMAN as well in the full changelog below for 04.14.04.

**As a reminder you must have multiMAN 04.14.00 Full or Base installed prior to updating any of the 04.14.XX Updates. This was a change done in v04.14.00.

* Added support for fixing 80010009 errors for games with updates (like FIFA 2013 v 1.04)
- mM will check the game backup, the installed update (on internal HDD and in GAMEI on external USB HDD)
- It will 'fix' all .self/.sprx files and EBOOT.BIN
- This feature allows you to 'fix' game updates even if you play from the original BD game disc (install the update, load the game from the [disc] icon in mM and it will check if you have installed incompatible updates and will fix it)

* Improved display of game titles in all modes (no double refresh/redraw)

How to install:

Method #1:
==========

* Copy installPKG.pkg and report_data.txt to the root of a USB stick/drive
* Install "installPKG", reboot, install from the bubble
* Start [* Install Package Files] standalone from the icon in XMB (not from /app_home)
* It should look as in the screenshot
* Press [START] to "Update and Load Stealth multiMAN"

Method #2:
==========
* Rename report_data.txt to anyFileName.self and Copy to USB stick or PS3 HDD
* Use multiMAN mmOS, locate the file and double-click on it
* mM stealth will install and start

Once you booted stealth mM at least once you can safely delete the 'regular' mM from XMB if you wish.
You can delete the standalone [* Install Package Files] application from XMB if you wish.

How to load the stealth multiMAN:

1) Restart your PS3
2) Go go /app_home (which will change to the last game you loaded or to [* Install Package Files]) and press [X]
3) If you hold [SELECT] pressed it will load stealth multiMAN directly.

The updated [* Install Package Files] supports the stealth multiMAN and you can launch it by pressing [SELECT].

The stealth multiMAN supports online update which doesn't require PKG file installation and is a seamless process.

Q: Why is it stealth?
A:
- It is not present in XMB (not present in /dev_hdd0/game/*)
- Each time the /app_home (* Install Package Files) gets different TITLE ID and TITLE NAME
- Every time you load a game it will change the TITLE of /app_home thus not looking suspicious
- You can use mM while your XMB looks totally OFW (with no homebrew installed which may be detected)

I know that there are users on other than 4.30CFW firmwares that would also love to have the stealthMAN so I prepared an example PKG file.

It is for 03.40-04.30CFW and for those of you who LOVE to create non-working mM stealth versions with different title ids

The package file contains:

* EBOOT.BIN
* data

If you wish to create your own stealth version, repack the pkg with your changes to the PARAM.SFO / CONTENT-ID. Do not modify "data" file!

Any stealth version will be able to update online and is 100% compatible/feature-like the standard mM.

Still, the best way to be really stealth is to be on 4.30CFW ROGERO ver 2.03 and use the stealth version from above (the link was updated).

i think that's how it works. i don't use it, but i just read the comment deank made and the first thing he says is to use a fresh reboot.

come dec 31st and multiman will mean even more than it does right now to the scene.Thank you dean for your hard work, i remember the first time the first ever version of multiman was posted, never thought it would come this far.

Excellent work DeanK, I've just noticed that Multiman now enables the XMB screenshot capture without starting Code Unique, does this also work on the 4.21 cfw?

Currently on 3.55 cfw

Where exactly should i place the PS1 games in my external HDD to play them using Multiman?

Hey guys, do you know any app that can run PSN games? It would be better if i just could have those games inside the external USB.

So I've gone through every game that I previously couldn't load due to 3.55 patches I applied prior to updating to Rogero. Everything works now! I can finally play Shadows of the Damned and Rayman Origins again! Everything on my drive works again. BEST VERSION EVER! (At least until the next one. Add native PSX ISO support without dongles...if possible...and I'll never have a reason to get rid of my PS3.) ^_^

I just can't get this to work, It keeps telling me I don't have MM 04.14.00 Full installed (I do btw) and freezes my PS3.

I haven't tried this, but....

If you install the "gameDATA4.pkg" in the MultiMan install (in the "apps_ps3_cfw" directory), this will allow you to switch the XMB from looking at HD0 to USB. Then I suspect you could install your PSN game to the USB and run it off USB at this point. Let us know if it works!

PS - Run gameDATA icon again to toggle it back to HD0

Currently the only way Multiman can run PS1 games in from an actual burned disc. ISOs only work with the Cobra dongle.

sorry if i am asking some noob questions but i am trying to repack the pkg but i dont know how i have downloaded PKG Toolkit GUI v1.5 and i unpackage the pkg this NPEB01096 folder came out. i dont know what to do after this i changed the PARAM.SFO and EBOOT.BIN both files are from ACIII. i am using 3.55 kmeaw is there anything im doing wrong please let know i am trying to create my own stealth version like deank said you should.

Many2 Thanks for the awesome work DeanK. DeanK why you disabled the featured to input the pin code to access the function control on MULTIMAN since v.04.14.00, that featured really useable to protect our game from person that don't have the pin code to delete our game,,,,

Pls add it agains on the next release DeanK,,,,thank,,,

I just updated online from version 4.14.03 to 4.14.04. I then ran Multiman, and booted a game with no issues. After confirming it was working, I deleted the 'regular' Multiman from the XMB (as mentioned in the install notes).

I tried loading the stealth version by holding select on the app_home/install package icon, but no luck. I also tried holding select and pressing X, but that just loads the install package files app. Pressing select within the app does not load the stealth Multiman either.

This is on Rogero 4.30 v2.03.

What am I doing wrong?

Now I see where I went wrong, you need to boot 'stealth' Multiman once before deleting; I booted the 'regular' Multiman once instead.

Oh well, time to re-download 04.14.00 again and start all over...
