multiMAN 04.14.03 Released

The impressive multi-purpose application multiMAN has received another update by Deank bringing it to v.04.14.03. Before installing this update it is required you have 04.14.00 BASE or FULL installed on your PS3. In this update deank has reworked the 8x4 display and is compatible with all themes. You can view all the changes in the changelog below. I would like to take this time and thank deank for all his hard work and his continued support of multiMAN. Thank You !!!

Probably some of you are using the cool "8x4" display mode... Well it was about time for it to get a total overhaul. It is now possible to access all the content (like in the other modes). You can browse the games much faster, play video or music, view photos, set custom background from a picture or change the theme or any other setting. You can use the SIDE menu (with [TRIANGLE]) for more options for the selected entries and much more.

* Totally reworked 8x4 display mode (compatible with all themes)
* Added "Reset USB" option to "Settings" to disable USB bus scan/reset
* Added new translation labels

Pressing down on the dpad would scroll to the next page, instead of the next game. Same for pressing up on dpad. Coding bug?

Hey Deank, when I apply media cabinet on 04.14.03 it works partially. I can see the icons are working but none of the display modes show any wooden cabinets. I was on 14.00 then updated by downloading in MM.

Some themes are outdated/never updated for newer versions after mM 02.09.02 so that's normal.

damn, sad cause its my fav theme. Hopefully the creator updates it soon, guess i'll look at a opium theme cause he updates his.

One more thing,

The weird stuff about install package way of working since a couple of versions, is it due to multiman changes or is it linked to rogero cfw , because it was much better to have access to the package than using that queue thing , it takes a long time to create the XMb package shortcut you wanna install while before just clicking on the package would install it .

i think you need cobra for the ps2 iso's, as for ps1 iirc there was something about that on multiman's thread you should probly head there and first read the first post. if you still dont find your answer, you can always ask your question there :3

edit: after a bit of research, the only way to load iso's is with cobra, you're going to need to burn ps1 games to a disc if you want to play it via MM

I also got that same thing. I unplugged one of my Externals(*) and plugged it back in and it went scroll wild. I hit one of the buttons on the controller and it stopped. Thought it might have been just a sticky button or something so I didn't say anything.

I haven't had the time to get back to the MFW PS3 to update to see if it happens on mM 04.14.03. It probably won't. I'll just shut off that USB thing(+) and let it be.

* One of the Externals wasn't getting recognized.
+ Don't have split files on the externals to worry about.

tried installing the future-tech and mm-2k themes i got from spiffy.com but for some reason they don't show on the theme selection <_<

A while back i was testing DiscBOOT software (Loading DVD-R games from XMB). Today I inserted that same game disc in PS3 and clicked on the disc icon in MM and it loaded up just fine. The game was Jurassic The Hunted. I was surprised it loaded cause i didn't have that installed anymore. Was this something recently added. I know it didn't work on MM before when I was on 3.55cfw.

Nothing was really added (just improved a bit), but loading burned games from mM is available since 02.09.00 version. Using discBOOT + the pkg it creates is better, but still not updated for 4.** cfws.

Mine are probably missing some stuff too. The last time I updated them was for multiMAN 4.02.00, sorry. I think the ones by me in multiMAN's built in downloader might be even older (I haven't checked in a while)

I think the copy of future-tech on spiffy is for multiman version 2.01.00 so it won't work without being updated to the new format. Check to see if it's listed in the theme downloader inside multiMAN. That one should work.
As for mm-2k, there's two versions on spiffy: mmcm-2k which is for 4.xx.xx and should show up normally and mm-2k which is for 2.09.02 and won't work properly.
It can also be found on a couple other sites as well. If you go to brewology.com from your PS3's internet browser (I don't think it will work from multiMAN's internet browser) you should be able to download it directly to your console without the need for a computer/FTP/usb drive.

Hi 1 small issue, in MM or in firmware, not sure. i have to go to multiman and refresh the games, Only then game works. it happened with assassin creed 3. Not sure about other games.

I deleted the media cabinet theme and downloaded the star wars version. Works fully.
Not sure why the original was missing textures, was working fine for a very long time.
happy to have the cabinet back!

do you guys still experience showtime's low memory thing when playing hd vids? is there any way to fix this?
